Simi Shittu may never be eligible.

But hell, if they got Deandre Ayton ready to play then anything's possible.

Now for all I know Keldon might be fantastic and Zion might come out looking ready to take no prisoners, and in hind sight they end up complementing our returnees nicely. That's the hope, because that will likely be our best opportunity to hang one more banner before Calipari bows out.
I agree with the RJ/Reddish combo. That’s insane.

Barrett is going to be just like Bagley. May average 25 a game.

I'm not as high on Reddish as some. And I've never liked Tre Jones as much as Quickley, though I said the same thing about Tyus Jones. (Incidentally, Tyus Jones may be one of the great late-game ballers of the last decade. Enormous gonads and the guy always showed up in tough games late. Always.)

But with Duke and Kentucky it probably depends on what we return. Both could have a superteam if the pieces fall correctly, depending on UK's ability to get Zion. Have to get Zion because if not the whole thing is screwed and Cal may really bolt somewhere.

But get Zion and this Kentucky team next year, with some luck, could be just as good as the 38-1 team. I really feel like Duke's best chance to win it will be this year. Hard to imagine them keeping Carter and Duvall for another season, so you're going to have an extremely young team around one freak.

UK could have some honest-to-God vets next year. I really feel like, out of necessity, we're going to.

Just read KSR's piece on Johnson, and saw where Steve Smith of Oak Hill is saying that he's a complete package and "as hard a worker as he's had in 30 years". That's elite praise considering who all has passed through Oak Hill.

Think Kentucky's going to get a gift today with Herro.

Likely not a one-and-done but a guy who will contribute right away. Huge potential as a scorer. Tough kid from a basketball-rich state.

Basically the kind of player Kentucky has rarely gotten since I've been following recruiting. One of those types who rolls in with other teams and just kills Kentucky, and you're left wondering after, "Where'd that guy come from?" The fact that he wants the challenge of UK is a great sign w/r/t his mentality.

Think he'll be able to fit in with all these other guards next season and give us something right away. By year two he could be a star.

Roy Williams to visit Zion Williamson for the second time this month.

I will put in that multiple visits over short periods of time is usually not a good sign for the team trying to land the player.

Zion's four visits to Chapel Hill are a little concerning.

Scares me to death. Four visits with one of two coaches to be more successful than Calipari during the last 10 years. Plus with UNC’s scandal behind them I expect them to rejoin the elites of the recruiting world.

Zion comes off to me like a guy who wants maximum spotlight and wants to be the show. Saw a rumor a couple weeks ago that his family is very much about maximizing his earning potential: they want him out there, as a brand, and he sees himself as a brand.

If true, Carolina would be an odd choice. Roy has vigorously talked kids into coming back to school over the years.

I have to think the plan has been Kentucky. He looks like "that" kind of player.

Also, the visit makes you wonder if there might be a Zion commitment soon?

The timing of it is strange. Usually these coaches try to get in there before the player pulls the trigger.

An affiliation with Jordan would likely help him with Nike, though. You have to admit that phone call, you know, from MJ, can sway people. Plus they've had some one year players over the years.

I think it will come down to the rosters, meaning a spring decision, but that doesn't mean that Roy isn't scratching and clawing to get back in the race.
