The Annual Staying vs Leaving Thread

This is the one time of the year I miss crazzed. He always offered early insight on who was staying and leaving. Who do you guys and gals think returns?

I think we lose Ulis, Murray, and Skal. I think we see the advantage of the date being pushed back this year as I think Briscoe tests the waters but returns to be a first round pick. Our class coming in with Briscoe, Hawkins, Willis, Matthews, Humphries, Lee, and Tai make a very talented, deep, and experienced roster.

    What say you?

From what I've heard, I wouldn't be surprised if Lee is done. I may be wrong but I believe he graduates after this semester or after some summer classes. He may either graduate transfer or just try the draft and play D-league.

Other than Lee I think the same as teamchemistry.

And I think we add Bolden to this class and next year's team will be beastly....possible run like 2015 on the horizon.

I could see Lee head back West to Cali to play one year. Not sure
Last i heard Skal and Briscoe were coming back but have not heard any new news on that front. Will wait and see. I think that is why we do not have an answer on Bolden. Hope we keep the KY connection of Hawkins and Willis. I could see Willis getting tired of his situation, Cal has no confidence in him most nights. He seems to have a very short leash.

Was it you who had the source you said was right 9 out of 10 times? I don't remember who it was. Aso, with Lee, wouldn't he have to sit out a year if he transferred? I don't see a reason he would want to transfer somewhere with only one year left.

Yeah, and I rarely bring stuff to the table. I do not like to bring up hope or cause people to read too much into things. But he was fairly positive about 3 weeks ago or so that Skal and Briscoe would be back. If i hear otherwise I will post ASAP.

If Lee graduates then he can do just like the 2 guys for UofL and transfer and play next year.

I was unaware Lee was on pace to graduate early.

Post 2 in this topic states Lee is on schedule to graduate this semester or during summer school. That is where i was pulling that info.

Just something to think about. If next year's class is as advertised, can you imagine how many we lose to the NBA and graduation after next season.

If you look at the players coming in this year does anyone see SKAL getting minutes. That is the other part that makes me think he would go instead of stay. But again have not heard anything since the original discussion of SKAL coming back.

I asked a question about our shooting in the recruiting thread. I have no idea what kind of touch or range our incoming class has. If Bam is the banger down low he seems to be, Skal might compliment him well and bring a change of pace/dangerous weapon to the mix as a pick and pop stretch four. If he puts in the work over the summer he will get his minutes. He is simply too athletic and has too good of range for a big to keep off the floor, IMO. That is unless Sacha or Gabriel can bring the same things to the table.

Definitely he will. Given his touch and skill set he can be a matchup nightmare. He can't be the banger down low but if he is used to his strength he can be very good. One thing Skal is really good at is blocking shots. Coming from help side defensively he could be a real force.

I should say would instead of will I think the chances of him being here next year are pretty low.

Is there anything that will make Ulis stay?
