If not it's very simple, defend Ulis with a bigger guard and deny Murray the ball, let Briscoe shoot all day long or let him drive so a big can put him on the line,, it's that simple.................
Yea, lets put Briscoe on the line to win it.

Let's just agree to disagree,, doesn't it suck we didn't get a shot off at the end because our great point guard who NEVER loses the ball loses it at the wrong time at the worst possible time of the game??????????

Of course it's that simple if your Bill Self,, you missed the point........................ Guard Ulis, deny Murray, let Briscoe shoot or let him drive and let's foul the **** out of him so he gets to shoot free throws!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What if you found out that Murray was supposed to be in the corner? The turnover wouldnt be on Ulis. Anyway doesn't matter. The logic of focusing on one possession is mind blowing. If Ulis had a history of turnovers I would kinda see your point. Ulis did not lose this game, if not for his near perfect play this could have gotten ugly. Pick any turn over or any missed shot in the game and blame that one possession. Makes as much sense as blaming Ulis for that last possession.

Thought Mason palmed the ball all night. There were a few times when he blatantly turned his hand underneath the basketball, playground style.

But that's a call you rarely see so you can't get too peeved about it.

In the first half, seemed like we had a lot of calls for traveling and all that... Regardless, the more losses we take, the more i think it helps this team to grow. I think we needed this game to prove we can play with anyone anywhere and this game was there for the taking. I still can't believe Ulis turned it over but it's a team game and it happens.

On another note,, what about Skal saying to hell with it, im shooting my jump shot on the road in a tight game and im making it lol lol lol lol lol lol

I thought Ulis messed up on the last possession. Murray may have broken the wrong way but I'm not convinced Ulis could have delivered the ball to him anyway as it looked like the ball was coming out before he could've made a pass.

That was a tough blow, but there were eight or ten other things that could have won us the game, starting with that defensive breakdown that gave Selden the three, to Briscoe's free throws, to the way we rebounded, to the missed open shots Hawkins and Willis had at crucial times...

That was a huge play in the game, but I tend to give Ulis a pass. Guy has played a million minutes over the last month and has screwed up like five times total.

Not blaming Ulis for the loss, but he still chocked at the wrong time. It's okay, he's human and life goes on. Whether Murray was there or not, Ulis lost the ball, lost it again in overtime. I mean, what else can you say. Team needs to improve, Ulis needs to hang on to the ball at crunch time........

One reason Im not upset is this is a win on a neutral floor. I believe in home cooking, it even happens at Rupp. If you go back and look at the fouls I believe 99% of them would be a foul. Its all about how close you call them. You can feel when a game is a home game/neutral/away. This game was good for a bit but really started to sway to an away feel later. you can never prove this because a foul is a foul but we basically couldn't play defense in the second half. Not saying I am right but really felt it was a little tighter on us than them.

I really hate when the offense initiates the contact and defense gets called. Happened to Lee really bad on one of his fouls. I have always thought that contact between two moving men is always a foul on the defense was unfair. THey at least call the shoulder down now but that's not good enough. JMO

Thank you,, Im giving Ulis a pass and not mad but he still chocked , it happens lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol

What hurts the most more than anything is that on the last possession in regulation, i actually believed and thought we was about to beat KANSAS on the road man,,, i thought we had it. If Ulis hangs on to that ball and gets to the paint with a shot, he's smart enough to draw contact and get to the line to seal the game.........

Crushing loss actually,, would have rather lost in regulation by 10 than like this.....................

Lee got a couple of terrible calls on him.

This was an atrociously officiated game. Maybe the first game of the year that I've seen where the refs really struggled for long stretches.

But there's a reason why Self is 201-9 at home. One is that he's had very good teams. But that's not the only reason.

Everybody gets whistles at home. In that kind of environment officials tend to let the crowd make calls for them. It happens.

Anyone outside of Kentucky will say im a sore loser if i play the foul card in this game but man, this game was called goofy in my opinion. So many tic tac fouls called and if Kansas hits freethrows, they may have blowed us . Refs made sure Kansas stayed in the game........

Yea the one I am thinking of, Lee was already moving backwards and ended up getting knocked back and they called foul on Lee.

The last foul on Willis was tic tac,, anybody that disagrees,, ask Coach Cal how he felt about it on the sidelines. I think Cal was about to blow a gasket tonight...........

Hard to beat a team at home when they shoot 47 FTs. I am proud of the effort, but in the end we just did not have enough bodies. We are trending in the right direction but this team will go as far as our guards take us.
