The return of Otega? You're telling me there's a chance?

If it actually passes, would those players be able to enter the transfer portal or would they be stuck at their previous schools? I'm assuming they would briefly open the portal for guys like Otega.

I believe the portal would be open for business again with many good options for Pope

No they would have had to enter (like Aberdeen did) before the portal closed. Oweh did not enter the portal (or at least he or UK did not let anyone know he did enter). Several seniors did enter the portal with no eligibility remaining.

What happens if a player doesn’t enter but his school has no money to pay him and he want to to go to another school that does?

I think, if I'm completely honest, I'm kind of hoping Pope fills out the roster with guys like Burks, McBride, Dynes, etc. Maybe whiffing on Stokes, Momcilovic, and Yessoufou would be a huge blessing in disguise. Maybe that would be what it takes to get Billy Donovan or another top notch head coach to Lexington. I mean, Barnhardt won't be around to have his little ego hurt by getting rejected a time or two, so we won't have to settle for a Billy Gillespie or a Mark Pope. Maybe I'm looking at it all wrong in hoping that we land a player or two that might actually help him keep his job... because I do think I've come full circle, I just needed this disaster of a transfer portal cycle to jolt me into reality.

With all due respect, I would question anyone's loyalty in hoping the team loses games in order to eliminate the coach..
I would never wish a loss(es) on the Wildcats under any circumstance

^ Those numbers are all the evidence you need to realize you don't know wth you're talking about. Casuals like you who try to speak on things you're clueless about provide good comedy though. Keep it up, I can appreciate the comedic value. Nice job grasping at straws saying I needed to have seen him in person to know if he's any good or not. LOL.

You better not go into hiding when his ranking gets updated, the same way they did with Sebastian Williams-Adams days after he entered the portal. Come back & collect your L like a man.
His ratings might go up. As of now I posted what they currently are and you went nuts. I'm just tired of seeing 300 post from you evey day.

Agreed: Never wished a loss in the BCG years. Was extremely happy he was gone and then we got Cal. I was not happy about Cal either. Just do not like the guy. But never pulled for a loss in his tenure as well.

So you'd rather be stuck in mediocrity for several ongoing years into the future than to suffer one bad season and then right the ship and turn it around like Calipari did after Gillespie?

So magically whomever UK gets will have us in the final 4 in a year?

UK could end up with no major coach wanting the gig again, just like with Pope, and we have a worse situation.

I would rather Pope turn it around, be here till he wants to retire with several championships under his belt. That is my druthers.

I do not get what I want nor do you. It is all speculation.
