“There’s not a lot of schools that still have a lot of money and a lot of roster spots left,” Momcilovic said. “So it’s not like I’m choosing between 15 schools. It’s going to be three or four.”

Kentucky appears firmly in that group alongside Louisville and St. John’s

While Mark Pope has not personally spoken with Momcilovic yet, Kentucky’s staff has reportedly. remained in contact through his representatives. Momcilovic entered the transfer portal with a “do not contact” tag while focusing primarily on the NBA Combine process.

Still, he made it clear Kentucky’s style of play is appealing.

“I think Kentucky would be a good fit,” Momcilovic told the Herald-Leader. “I obviously went against Pope at BYU his first year (in the Big 12), and I loved how his team played.”
That bit of news is encouraging but not getting my hopes up Yet.

It wouldn't surprise me if he ends up playing for coach St. John's.

It’s funny that Momcilovic said he wanted to play for a contender, yet Pat Kelsey has won exactly one NCAA tourney game in his entire career as a head coach.

Pretty loose definition of a contender, IMHO.

CBS report says they expect Moreno to return to UK and that UK might have been involved in Moreno not participating in the 5 on 5. Stating most are SR that are not returning and are playing for the lives in the competition.

CBS also said Momcilovicic is not staying in the draft and will return to NCAA but would not predict a school stating UK, UCLA, Louisville and ST Johns are in the mix.

One view I know but at least one thinking after interviews that Moreno and Mom appear to be on their way back to college.

So we have 8 players who have started at least 10 games on a D-1 team:

    Moreno
    Diallo
    Wilkins
    K. Williams
    McBride
    Morton
    Kepnang
    Potter

Plus Noah, who started 3 games for us last season.

Plus two 4-star Freshmen coming in and a highly rated international player.

    Pretty solid roster.

Really wish we could add a potential star like Momcilovic.
If there is a hint of positivity it's that you never know what you're going to get with the the transfer portal. 2 years ago, Florida was preseason 21 in the nation and led by the 69th ranked guy in the portal (Clayton) and the 129th ranked guy in the portal (Martin) who were their top 2 scorers on that national championship team.

I hope for rebounding, rim protection and 5 fouls.

I would think so. While I have had issues with this recruiting season, it does seem that the roster has been built with a core 6-7 guys and the rest should be viewed/known as depth pieces. Last season, I am not sure guys really knew where they fit. I would hope this guy knows he's the back up to Moreno, which I think is fine as I wanted some muscle as the back up 5.
