There at this point is PDS (Pope derangement syndrome) almost as bad as TDS.

I am not happy where we are but heck I sure as heck am not going to worry about a player that is a short Center (at 6'8" ). I am not going to worry about a kid (Stokes) that was never going to play here and is a cancer on teams he has been on.

I will continue to wait till Pope states the roster is complete and we are running with the 12 to 15 players we have signed. Then Heck I am going to wait and see if they can win any games before getting all down on this coming years team.
I’m with you somewhat, in that I’m still in a wait and see mode, but time and options are running thin at the moment. I’m not going to sit here and think Pope has something up his sleeve we aren’t aware of yet. Folks want to blame the JMI deal or complain that we’ve lost our clout as a blueblood. I’m beginning to think neither of those are the case and the longer this drags out, we have to take a harder look at where the blame really lays. Stein doesn’t seem to be hindered by these same issues, he’s assembling a historically good 2027 recruiting class. Kenny Brooks seems to be able to get who he’s wanting by and large as well. Something isn’t quite adding up. The state of our men’s Basketball program is just not very strong right now.

I don't think it's official yet, but considering Kentucky has Moreno, Potter, McBride, N'Diaye, K. Williams and B. Hawthorne while LSU (who supposedly is now the front runner for his services) only has ONE (total) player on the roster.....they may be able to offer him more money AND more playing time than what Pope can currently. Just something to think about.

If the 5 / 5 rule hits he is a SR for sure. You have 5 years from age 19.

EDIT: He doesn't look bad. Here's a YouTube video of him:

Not that I'm Fran Fraschilla with all of this European basketball knowledge, but that team is one of the better top level teams in Europe. 8.4/4.1 might transfer pretty well to college basketball from that league.

I've also seen it reported that he was a difficult teammate. I said in an earlier post that I thought he would be a cancer in the locker room

    Ouch!

Well..... everybody has a bad game here and there. I saw Larry Bird play in person back in 1991 in Indianapolis...Celtics vs. Pacers. Bird was 6 for 18 from the field including 0 for 6 from 3-point range as the Celtics lost. It was brutal.

Santos? Yeah, I would hope so, in all honesty. He seems like the prototypical stretch 4.....kind of reminds me of a more slender Reid Travis with a really good 3-point shot.

Per KSR Santos is close to committing but he has not been cleared by NCAA Clearing house like the Senegal player.

Morton is an excellent back up imo. I think the back court is set and looks pretty good.

Get the euro to back up MM then throw all the money that's left at a good perimeter shooter to go with Kam at the 3.
this could be a very competitive squad.

    Go cats!
