Laying all jokes aside, I hope someday Turner finds his way on the UK coaching staff.

Six maybe 7 years ago, I actually talked to Turner. There was topic going around on who was one of the best Point Guards to ever play at Kentucky and I threw out Wayne Turner's name (accomplishments) and he responded to that, appreciated that. We sent a few messages back and forth and that was that.


Regardless, glad to see Turner back in Lexington....

What about MKG, Terrance Jones, Darius Miller, Knight, Harrellson, Cousins, Orton, just so many...

Orton did play on last year’s team, but he barely ever got in because he’s gotten so slow and fat now. MKG has been completely out of basketball for over half a decade now. And I believe Miller and TJ are also long since retired. Those dudes haven’t played on any level (not even overseas) in years.

The good thing about the three non-UK guys is they’re young and in peak condition. I think it’s better to have that …even if they played at a lower college level …than see a washed up former UK star be embarrassed because his legs are now long gone.

Of the 58 players Cal sent to the NBA while at Kentucky, not at all are playing in the NBA.

Dakari Johnson, James Young, many others would compliment and fill out this roster.

My son's girlfriend used to be his manager, and she and my son got to know him pretty well. A buddy of mine has worked with him for years.

Yeah, on these better teams in the TBT, the guys have to be in really good (close to elite) shape to even hang in there. These aren't guys just off the street thrown into pick-up games, these are guys who are still working on their bodies.

When you hit your 30s, it becomes infinitely more difficult. It's probably just not worth the investment for a lot of players.

Also knowing Sean Woods, he wants to win and getting players just for the sake of fan enjoyment probably isn't why he's doing this. Manic competitor.

I don't know him like that. Who knows, he may have ravens demons and all kinds of skeletons in the closet.

I like Turner but still think RONDO can be our Strickland in the Pope era, just not sure who Pope and Rondo would get along. The fact both are numbers gurus, they could jive pretty well as long as POPE doesn't forget his plays in his own playbook...

Cousins is/was in the Puerto Rican League and Knight also plays there. Harrelson plays in Japan I believe.

That's also the thing with your posts, when someone refutes them you're "just throwing" something out there. I typically do a little research before throwing stuff at the wall hoping something sticks.
