Alright...I'm in. I tried to quit message boards cold turkey and it lasted one day...this must be what addiction feels like.

Oh, I'm right there with you. I try not to miss a single stage, and have been a huge fan since I was a teenager. My parents were cyclists and I am, as well, though because of the routes in my area I switched to a gravel bike a couple years ago. It's perfect for my location.

Have, don't anymore, though I toy with the idea of buying a nice gravel/road bike from time to time. I walk a lot for my day job, but am 62 and will want the exercise once I finally retire. Must keep the wife from exiling me to the couch.

Get a gravel bike and don't look back. It'll open up a whole new range of possibilities if you choose the right rig.

Since we have some requests for a dark mode and we do not have that currently can the default be set to something like a gray or muted white background for everyone. Something that people with vision problems can still see but help others posting late at night. Just a thought.

Just musing on a warm summer day, but could this board be renamed Rupp Rafters? There's likely some reason not, but I think it would a wonderful send off message to the folks over there. If this subject has already been broached, smack the living daylights out of me & send me on my way.

Hey all, I'm from over at Cats Illustrated. Too many pages to read through here so I apologize if this has already been said.

RR is still free and not going away. HOB is still there and peoples profiles and the thread history will return according to what has been told to the board. Why the transition happened this way is beyond me.

All that said, I am glad to have found this site as yet another place to engage with other Cats fans!

All good! I can appreciate where you’re coming from, but this place originated with one of the earliest architects of UK’s online community, and it remains a tribute to him.

Not to make the site out to be more than it is, but its legacy is special to us. And I don’t say that as a scolding, btw; just sharing a bit about our history.

KCKUKFan, You have me confused with someone else. I’ve never posted on any board as Lecter or anything even close to it. Definitely don’t have a checkered past as I’ve never even been banned or disciplined in any way in 20+ years on RR or any other site. And, last night was the first time I’ve ever been on this site. Nbd, just wanted to clear that up & prevent any preconceived biases against me, lol. I want to at least EARN a checkered past reputation if I’m gonna have one.
