I won't lie; I'm hard up on Kentucky basketball. Called for Calipari to be fired early on when I realized he was doing what Calipari does, then new he'd try and ruin us on the way out, which he did. People close to the situation know how it went down, I make no apologies for it. Excellence is to be expected. I wanted the Pope hire as I knew we needed to revamp the Pitino years and get back to Kentucky instead of the NBA persona. I will say because UNC used to be the "place of the pros", I am glad we took that title. It was necessary as all we were missing historically was NBA HOF's and vets, or didn't have enough of them. All in all, I'm okay as long as ALL of the records are upheld, all of them. SEC titles, head-to-head wins, F4's etc. I hated and complained to many that would buy into Calipari's nonsense "SEC title don't matter", "losing a few to Kansas is just a regular season game" etc. Still hate how many wins he allowed kansas to get, totally unacceptable given our history in that game. We had way too many buying into Calipari's nonsense, and it began to turn into the University of Excuses. But other than that, I'm not a problem. Judt won't tolerate dumping all over the accomplishments of the men before us and backing mediocracy, it's far too important for that. Pope was necessary, but if he doesn't get it done, he's gotta go. I think given that recruting is done by payment now and he's got the brand behind him, I see no way he doesn't work. I've gotten older now into my late 30's so it's calmed down, but there's no guarantees.

I've come to find that the ones like me who grew up learning kentucky in the 90's, or the ones who grew up during Rupp, just get what this is supposed to be about a little more. So I guess mods can be necessary for those

The Reds will hold onto each young star until the trade deadline of the final year of their contract. Then they will be Yankees or Dodgers. Such is life for a fans of small market teams. No change in sight without a salary cap. No salary cap in sight when the players union will not have it.

Reds biggest trades they have made over the past few years, Suarez, Castillo, Mahle, Gray and India weren't on expiring contracts. They had team control left for their new organizations so the Reds would receive a better haul in return.

Not always the case, some of the prospects from those trades are currently on this team. Reds received a Major League arm in Singer for India. Krall did an excellent job getting Steer and CES for Mahle. Marte and Fraley back in the two Mariners deals. Edwin Arroyo is still on the rise and one of their best prospects. Reds do a lot of things wrong like the terrible contracts to Candelario and Moustakas, but I give Nick Krall credit with the trades he has made.

I am pleasantly surprised to see that not a single one of the known trolls have followed us here from Rivals. This confirms what I had long suspected. None of those people were actual UK fans. They were simply plants that came in through the network to cause disruptions and problems. They only succeeded because the management allowed it. That handful of bad apples largely led to the poor reputation of those forums over the years. It was well worth the move here just to leave the troublemakers behind. Let On3 deal with them! LOL.
