I remember Goodman getting a lot of flack for covering UK during the BCG era. One article in particular, oddly, included comments about Lexington and seemed dismissive of the night life that was available. Didn’t he go to Two Keys?

Somto, dude has insane length in my opinion, just what we need.

Somto Cyril goes by the nickname “Baby Shaq” because of his size, frame and outgoing personality. Oh yeah, he’s also known for shattering a few backboards like Shaquille O'Neal. Originally from Nigeria, Cyril arrived in the United States in 2021, and he immediately felt at home in America. “It’s pretty cool,” Cyril told On3’s Joe Tipton. “It’s almost the same as Nigeria. I block shots and get rebounds for my teammates. I don’t have to score. I just want to win the game.”

If the season hinges on anchoring the post with Somto we are in trouble.

He's an interesting prospect, and he has a body ready for D1 play, but I wouldn't get your hopes up that he's a day one impact player.

Regardless, year in year out i see many 3-4 stars who flew under the radar helping teams win in the NCAA tournament. Guards come a dime a dozen but athletic bigs are still something you can't teach, even in today's world of next level 3 point shooting contest because that's all the NBA is now. This kid was given the name Baby Shaq but reminds me more of Dwight Howard, will probably struggle in the rankings due to the fact he's not a outside shooter but for Kentucky, shot blocking altered shots put backs and rebounds is all we need, we have plenty of scorers on this team...

See what happens, i think he would be solid addition but if does come will probably be like A. Why isn't he playing more? or B. Offseason he transfers and is gone

Another week passes and we still do not have a full roster.Simply unacceptable.6 of 8 players are freshman. I admit I was happy when Cal was hired. now I want him gone more than any coach in my lifetime including Gillespie. Just can't fathom how UK has let things come to this. If this is Cals last hurrah I hope it's Barney's as well

Jeff "Corky" Goodman reporting that Reeves IS enrolled currently at Illinois State, but Jack Pilgrim is saying that he won't be able to get the necessary credits in time to get the grad transfer waiver.

So he is literally holding Cal and the program hostage.
