This weekend's visit by Bona is HUGE! I hope having Livingston there helps UK get him onboard.

I have heard that, as of now, it's more likely than not that he goes elsewhere. UK needs him and could have had him locked up weeks ago, I just hope it's not too late now.

Looks like Bona is going to wait to make his decision until after his official visit to UCLA towards the end of the month. Was hoping for a commitment after this weekend but it seems UCLA is right there with us, always hate having a different team have the last visit.

I definitely don’t keep up with the recruiting like I used to, but I read where Bona wants to pattern himself after Adebayo. That has to sound good for UK, right?

Yeah, Pilgrim just mentioned that in his update today on Bona and his visit. He wasn't at the game the entire time but the visit did go really well and things seem to be all good between him and UK. He is still scheduled to visit UCLA in the 22nd, and likely will announce Monday the 25th or before the end of Oct.

I'd lean UK, but UCLA is right there still.

So…yesterday a report came out that Shaedon Sharp might enroll at UK for the 2022 spring semester in order to start coursework and of course practicing with the team. He would not have the intent to play this season.

I looked it up and his birthday is May 30 2003.

Forgive me for being paranoid, but he could forego eligibility and enter the 2022 NBA draft like Hamidou tried his best to do.

Ok, maybe that was premature:

Diallo explored the 2017 NBA Draft after his first semester at UK as a practice player, but he ultimately decided to stay in Lexington and play a full season. He had the NBA option because he had actually graduated from high school in May 2016 — one year before the 2017 Draft — and would have played the 2016-17 season as a post-grad player before deciding to enroll early at UK instead.

While Sharpe would meet the age requirement for next year’s NBA Draft — he’ll turn 19 in May — there’s been no sign that he’s actually graduated from high school already, so it doesn’t appear that he would fully meet the league’s requirements for draft eligibility in 2022. (League rules say at least one NBA season must have elapsed since a player’s graduation from high school for them to be draft eligible, in addition to the age-19 requirement). And even though Sharpe is originally from Canada, he would not be viewed as an “international” player under the NBA’s definition of the term.

So, unless he’s already graduated from high school, he likely wouldn’t be coming to UK under the same circumstances as Diallo, if he does indeed decide to enroll in the winter.
