I can’t help but notice here there’s a lot more outrage toward the Anthem protest and literally none for the Capitol thing.

Which, you know, could have been the reason for the protest in the first place.

We can say that the protest didn’t work or the reason was mushy or whatever, and I’d agree. But look how far your post goes. This is the very problem I think they’re frustrated with.

Please don't lump me in with your characterization of the level of outrage for kneeling during the Anthem...and storming the Capital. There is no comparison. Those who disabused our Capital Building should be locked up.
And while we're at it, please clarify who you include in your multiple references to "patriots"? In my mind, a "patriot" is someone who loves, supports and defends their country by legal means. Those bozos who invaded the Capital Building are criminals, not patriots. Similarly, those vandals who burned, looted and brought carnage this past summer to many cities this past summer are criminals and should have been locked up. In contrast, peaceful protests, whether in Seattle, Portland, Chicago, NYC, or Washington DC should be recognized as a cornerstone of our Country.

If you are referring to me as one of those "fellas", best you reread my posts. Again, I believe those who invaded the Capital Building should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. For all the others who went to DC to protest the election and did not violate any law...all the power to them.

Folks, many of you know how so very much I Love WCN and do my very best to keep it a family friendly site. After reading and posting here on this thread, and reminding myself of how quickly this type discussion can get out of hand, I posted a simple suggestion to please continue to peacefully discuss this issue. Like some, I saw a couple post that were spicy and I didn't want this thread to go away. I in no way suggested that this thread was going to be shut down or warned that it might be. However another Mod took offense and deleted my post without any discussion with me. If I offended any of you, I ask you to forgive me as that will never be my objective. I Love WCN and I plan to be here until......GO CATS!!!

This thread has strayed far away from the way it started out and now belongs in the Political Forum, in my opinion. Over there, you can say anything you wish and however you want to say it.

I am a mod on some car related sites. Their is a forum that only the mods can access where we discuss site or member issues. We have never deleted each other’s post. If we have a disagreement, a administrator steps in and makes the final decision. As has been stated in another post, maybe this should be moved to the political forum.

I think we have all made our thoughts known wherever we lie in the spectrum. No need for any to be offended or upset. While we may be privately disappointed in another fan opinion, we recognize lwe have more diversity on this site with a limited number than may be expected.
