It's interesting that if you look at the foot specialist PJ went to in Wisconsin, his bio says he's one of the world's foremost experts on turf toe.

I assume that was the issue. I've heard it's extremely painful.

He didn't practice today and is listed day to day

FYI...this is from Cal on the Jim Rome show

With all the attention on PJ, let's hope the rest of our guys don't forget we are playing Houston later on this week.....

If he doesn't participate in the practice tomorrow I wouldn't expect him to play. But, with Cal's tweet today, I would expect him to.

I wonder if PJ can ride a bike right now to get his wind up after being off a few days?

Can he shoot jump shots right now?

I'm sure he is doing all of that.

If it is turf toe, why are they calling it a foot sprain??

Turf toe is a sprain of the big toe joint. So... foot sprain could be an accurately ambiguous term.

If he's back and playing, I can't imagine it's turf toe. Hellaciously painful and puts football players out for weeks. If he does play, then it was the lowest grade possible, or some really good pain meds.
Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

In the article about the doctor I saw, he says three weeks is average unless surgery is required. Saturday would obviously be two weeks, so if he plays I would imagine he'll be playing through some significant pain (assuming that's what this is).

The guy is also a pre-eminent foot and ankle specialist so this could have nothing to do with turf toe at all. Just made me wonder if that's what they were dealing with since they sought him out.

I can't imagine they'd tweet that video with Cal's reaction yesterday and PJ not play. That seemed scripted...and obviously Cal loves doing stuff like that.

But of course there could be a regression or more pain than PJ was expecting or something like that. You obviously never know with injuries.

Mike Pratt and other sports talk guys locally have mentioned turf toe earlier this week as well.
