    P. J. Washington was not on the bus with the Kentucky players who arrived for practice Wednesday but I am told he is expected to be available this weekend for NCAA play.

Yep that's my thought as well. Probably from that same screenshot that MJ tweeted about lol.

He wasn't on the bus to arena for open practice, so I think it's certain he's out tomorrow.

We may not need PJ tomorrow or Saturday, but we sure want him to be healthy and ready next week.

            I don't know.

Abilene Christian definitely, but Wofford's pretty good. And while Seton Hall isn't what I'd call "good," remember in the first game we got really hurt on the backboard late in the game. They had one guy in particular who just gutted us with his effort.

I wouldn't expect Kentucky to win more than one game without PJ. I think he's that valuable and this team is too dependent on each of its parts.

Agree. I don't think we are beating Wofford without PJ for sure. I think we can still beat Seton Hall without him but it will be a challenge.

You may be right, but i would rather have him available healthy for any game than for him to play and hurt himself worse and not be ready for the rest of the tournament. This injury is bad timing for sure.

Cal on PJ during his press conference:

                  - sprained his foot in UT game
                  - was in a boot for a while
                  - Xrays and MRI were negative
                  - PJ wants to play
                  - PJ currently seeing a specialist to make sure he cannot harm it further
                  - "We expect him to play"

Cal says it's a sprained foot. MRI and x-ray negative. He's seeing a specialist but is expected to play.

Now this sounds like they're making every effort to get him ready to play while protecting him.

Much better news than the rumors spread by a single screenshot that were going around!

                            Per Cal,

The specialists confirmed our original diagnosis that PJ Washington has a sprained foot and there is no fracture. Once we determined that PJ was not going to play today, they put him in a hard cast for precautionary reasons. He is out for today’s game.

Not a great way to start the NCAAT.

He's not coming out of a hard cast after one or two days so he's not playing Saturday either. If that's the case, Cats will be done this weekend, IMO.

Hard cast probably means that hes out for the entire weekend. Blah.
