Seth Greenberg told Dan Dakich on a podcast today that it was his "gut feeling" that PJ would play Friday.

Greenberg stressed that he had no inside info but Greenberg has had some scoop on UK in the past. Really good friends with Cal.

Cast apparently removed yesterday....according to source...

"Washington's status for Friday night’s Sweet 16 game with 3-seed Houston is still in doubt as of Wednesday morning. Washington was back in Wisconsin for the second time in a week to see a specialist.

We don’t know for sure who that specialist is, but Green Bay is the headquarters of Dr. Robert Anderson who former Packers Coach Mike McCarthy called “the best in the business” when it comes to foot and ankle injuries.

It is unknown whether Washington had another cast on, if he is in a walking boot or if he is cleared to practice."

Seems pretty normal to me that he would go to see a specialist one week and then return the next. I imagine they went to Wisconsin to see this guy in the first place. This is probably the check-in to see how the cast worked.

Yep. And I have heard that it is indeed off and pain is nearly non-existent. He is doing water treadmill rehab.

Over on Rivals somebody posted a short video clip of PJ acting like he hurt the foot late in the Tennessee game. Seems to be in some pain.

Should dispel the rumors that he kicked a wall, etc.
