I like JF Cats, but this is simply not true.

His guy, just like anybody, could have wrong info. That's not JF Cats' fault, that's just how information moves. I've seen a bunch of stuff that didn't pan out, or that sort of panned out over the years.

You can't discount Message Board Source Guy, because a lot of times that source is simply borrowing things he's seen from all the message boards that are around. My feeling is that if there's enough people saying something, there has to be some truth to it. Almost every rumor about UK basketball I've ever seen started on message boards.

But what you'll also notice is that when it all shakes out, the message board scuttlebutt is totally correct less than half the time. Often it'll just have little skeins of truth buried in it.

Just looking at it from the outside, it really appears that UK is trying to get Washington ready to play. I just highly doubt it's tomorrow.

The thing is, Cal said "I don't expect him to play Saturday" which sounds like he's probably not going in tomorrow. It's easy to piggyback on this if you're message board guy with a source and if it comes to light, you look like you're a legit Message Board Guy With A Source.

The thing is, Cal said "I don't expect him to play Saturday" which sounds like he's probably not going in tomorrow. It's easy to piggyback on this if you're message board guy with a source and if it comes to light, you look like you're a legit Message Board Guy With A Source.

I tend to think many sources (not in crazzed's case, just generally) are the same source.

If you're talking to one guy you're talking to a bunch of guys. There've been situations in my twenty-plus years on these boards where the source came out and it was the exact same person who was feeding something to somebody else.

There's also people who just flat make crap up. I seriously doubt that's what crazzed is doing.

I don't think anyone's making stuff up either. I just don't believe anyone outside of the Washingtons, the UK medical staff, and Cal really know what's going on. I wouldn't be surprised if the other players weren't clued in.

It's possible some of those people are talking, but it's still going to be a pretty limited number of people who really know.

The coaching staff also noted the positives in not playing him and having him rested for next week.

IF Kentucky can get through Wofford there's an enormous advantage in sitting a guy for a week at this time of year. Assuming the injury is something that will be better by next week, having your best player rested is a luxury that not a lot of teams can afford this time of year.

Wofford highly concerns me however simply because they will have the crowd and we've had teams go absolutely nuts on us from three a few times this year.

Anytime a team rolls in with the shooters these guys have it's deeply concerning. You really can't count on Fletcher Magee having an off game because he'll find ways to put up points. He shoots 43% from three, and with the volume he shoots that's amazing. He'll hit four or five threes at least. Put it in the bank.

We just have to stop the other guys. Wofford had major problems with Seton Hall's press the other day. Problem with that is that Kentucky doesn't do a great job of turning people over.

This is going to be a fight.
