Looking at a hard cast I think we have seen the last of PJ Washington on the floor for UK. A darn shame if it is , I would have liked to see what this team could have ,done. Looks like Sweet 16 and done to me

Jeebus. How do you treat a sprain ? RICE therapy.

WOW..PJ is in a hard cast and a scooter......sounds a lot more serious than a sprain

They say no fracture, only a sprain. Until they say differently, I'm believing he'll play Saturday. He showed no evidence he was injured in the UT game.

Would they put a hard cast on a kid for one or two days, I don’t know enough about current tx prceedures to know. In my day they wouldn’t have.

As insane as this sounds.....I've experienced the joys of a fallen arch. For about two days it felt like the bottom of my foot was broken....and I was not running on it. It cleared up in a few days but for a bit it felt as if the foot was in pieces.

              Just saying....

In the presser sounds like the boot is coming off. PJ didn't seem like a kid worried being out this game, i think he will be back next game...

I didn’t say it’s what was announced. I’m told he is not playing tomorrow. Take it as my announcement if you would like.

The thing that worries you about Fletcher Magee is that he works himself into situations to get fouled. Wofford looks like it has sets intended to run Magee off curls and put him into the body of his defender. He'll shoot jumpshots sometimes with both arms and legs akimbo. He also has a series of twists and turns and fades (both in and out) when he shoots that seem to be designed to create contact. Reminds me a little of John Jenkins, who used to play for Vandy. Really difficult player to defend.

Wofford also doesn't turn the ball over, so if you're down against them in the last 4:00 you can probably forget it. They protect the ball and get a shot most every possession.

I would assume Hagans will get Magee, and the worry there is that they run him off those screens and Hagans picks up two early ones. We saw last night that Immanuel Quickley might not be ready for primetime, so if Hagans goes out then the game might be there for Wofford to take.

Johnson and Herro are keys in this game. I actually think Wofford has enough size and beef to contain Travis. But on the perimeter they're very small and they are not athletic at all. Johnson and Herro should tear their backcourt up. If we get the good version of those guys and if Hagans can play 33 minutes or so then I think Kentucky wins. But if we get Can't-Score-at-the-Rim Johnson and a Tyler Herro who bleeds out of the game like he's done in the last two second halves, the journey is over.

I too worry that Hagans, or whoever guards Magee, will have foul problems. But I think Travis is big and strong enough to handle their inside people and will be a factor in opening the game up for Herro and Johnson. Now if PJ plays, Wofford has a whole new problem.

I will be very surprised if P.J. plays. Regardless of how you (not you personally, Lighthouse) may feel about JFCats22, I've noticed, down through the years, that if he says something is or isn't going to happen he's correct 9-9 1/2 times out of 10.

I like JF Cats, but this is simply not true.

His guy, just like anybody, could have wrong info. That's not JF Cats' fault, that's just how information moves. I've seen a bunch of stuff that didn't pan out, or that sort of panned out over the years.

You can't discount Message Board Source Guy, because a lot of times that source is simply borrowing things he's seen from all the message boards that are around. My feeling is that if there's enough people saying something, there has to be some truth to it. Almost every rumor about UK basketball I've ever seen started on message boards.

But what you'll also notice is that when it all shakes out, the message board scuttlebutt is totally correct less than half the time. Often it'll just have little skeins of truth buried in it.

Just looking at it from the outside, it really appears that UK is trying to get Washington ready to play. I just highly doubt it's tomorrow.
