He's not coming out of a hard cast after one or two days so he's not playing Saturday either. If that's the case, Cats will be done this weekend, IMO.
Of course that's your opinion. Even without PJ Washington, we have more talent than Seton Hall and Wofford.

I always had a feeling he would be out at least today and likely the entire weekend. Smh

I'm not a big fan of the words "hard cast."

My anxiety just went World Trade Center style with the injury to PJ, not so much worried about today but do not want to get caught slipping on Saturday....

Just me but the wording 'hard cast' and 'precautionary' don't mesh well.

We had EVERYBODY last time UK played Seton Hall.

Yes, but this Kentucky team and that Kentucky team are barely comparable.

Please don't get me wrong. Beating Seton Hall or Wofford without PJ will make it more difficult and a bigger challenge, but to assume (like crazzed did) that we're just going to lose the game without him seems a little silly. Player to player, we still have the better matchup up and down the roster, aside from the Powell kid.

I think we'll probably have to fight Saturday. We might even have to fight a little tonight.

Kentucky is one of those teams that's really dependent on everybody playing well. It doesn't have a huge margin for error because we don't hit a lot of threes, and because when you remove somebody like Washington he takes away the one thing Kentucky does at an elite level, and that's rebound. He also makes it so that you have to play two players who are very raw and you just don't know what you're going to get from Montgomery or Richards.

I really hope they can get this figured out and he's back on Saturday. Wofford is a team that could hit 10 or 12 threes against us. Not having a stabilizer offensively could be a real problem against them.

Is it just me or does this feel like Vanderbilt 2.0

I don't think it feels like the Vanderbilt situation at all.

With Vanderbilt Cal was saying he hadn't even spoken to him. Many times he said he had no idea what was going on. At the very end he expressed some frustration.

Here they're saying they expect Washington to play. There's no significant damage, they took him to a specialist, and I would assume the specialist recommended the hard cast.

Completely different situation it looks like to me. There's also the fact that Vanderbilt had been injured off and on a few times. This just feels entirely different.

I didn't know they were saying they expect him to play, but a hard cast isn't a good sign. Unless the doctor thinks it can be 100% in a week with one. I bet we honestly don't know until next week provided we make it that far.

Dumb fouls could be an issue even though PJ had his share. But Travis, Richards and Montgomery could be problems too.

Please tell us how we should feel. Should we be happy that our best player is in a hard cast and not able to play?

What does more talent equal? Not sure if you weren't paying attention but we lost to Seton Hall with PJ having a monster game! Me personally, I'd rather not play them (or Wofford) without PJ.

But, you are a better fan than me so tell me how to react/feel please!!

I'm not telling you how to feel. Obviously, it sucks. I'm not any happier about it than you are. Your "sky is falling" routine about any and every bit of Kentucky news is just tiresome, as we've been over ad nauseum.

My point is that even without PJ, we're better than all three of the teams in our pod. And, yes, I'm aware that we lost to Seton Hall in December with PJ, but it's disingenuous to act like we're anywhere near the team now that we were then. We're still better up and down the roster than all three of these teams.

So, instead of acting like Eyeore (which isn't going to change anything, anyway), let's just lace 'em up with who we've got available and win. No excuses.

And, while I might not be a better fan than you, it's clear that I enjoy it more than you.
