Of course Quade is a problem right now, he chose to come back and now he sits on the bench behind freshman, a probably thinking the same thing playing behind Reid.....

Having a freshman start over you is a little different than having a fifth year player play more than you. But Nick is still probably upset about the situation.

Who knows, Cal says so much it's hard to understand sometimes. We lose to Seton Hall and his comment is "proud of the effort"!!! Excuse me, "proud of the effort my arse", what the hell you going to do to fix it is my first thought...

Absurd. Why didn't Rick Pitino take us to more Final Fours? Why didn't he win us another championship? Sht happens - the team was a last second shot 2 years ago against the eventual national champs from another Final Four. Last year stands as one of the biggest missed opportunities of my lifetime. The team just couldn't score.

I do agree there's been a noticeable dropoff since that Wisconsin loss in 2015. Losing a perfect season like that seems to have taken the wind out of the sales of Cal a bit.

Anyways Calipari is the one who came in talking about UCLA Championships and all that jazz, that's out of his mouth not mind. I agree Cal is a notch up better than Tubby but Cal sometimes looks clueless on the sidelines, what the hell is he doing 80% of the time?

Silver lining if Quade leaves then next man up, let's hope Barker can shoot the ball as advertised, would rather have a bigger guard anyways who can shoot the ball.

Regardless of what happens, it still going to play out the same like each and every year. This season will be tough and brutal fans like me will gripe and moan then the switch will come on in March and we will have a few games that we start believing again, that's just how it is.......


Honestly i do like Cal but he just frustrates the crap out of me sometimes. Losing winnable games, not calling timeouts, losing recruits, players leaving either for the NBA or the to another school aint helping the situation..

Because if we're not happy with Final Fours then we're going to be happy with almost no one.

At Kentucky, everybody who's won a title after Rupp has won only one. There's a reason there are Final Four and runner-up banners in Rupp--because it's damn hard getting there.

If we can't celebrate those seasons then we probably need a new hobby.

The anti-Cal sentiment hasn't started because of that. After all the Final Four seasons fans have been pretty stoked--and for good reason. Those were fun, competitive, solid teams. No, people have become anti-Cal because of the constant churn in the program and because this year would make four consecutive seasons we didn't make a Final Four.

FF's mark successful seasons. We can't hold coaches up to a standard where they have to win championships. That just makes this whole thing too stressful and not fun. But if a FF and/or title is the benchmark, coaches at Kentucky making $8 mil a year have to deliver on one of those with some regularity.
