Today he'd be going up against guys that are 6'8' and taller at that position.

Jordan was a shooting guard. Listed at 6'6" and probably more like 6'5". The current average height for NBA players in 6'4.75". That isn't different than the 90s when Jordan was at his peak. He was thought of as the prototype size for that position and still is.

Of the top ten shooting guards for 2018 in the NBA only 3 are listed as 6'7" or 6'8" and Jordan would TORCH those guys.

Yeah, and he got up at least 2 1/2 feet on his jumper, and hung. 90's Jordan would do exactly the same thing he did in the 90's today.

Yeah I agree Jordan is athletic as hell and would be every bit as talented and athletic against the competition today, and he'd torch most everyone, but I also think LeBron and maybe KD would hold their own. As someone else said in this thread, the 90's NBA also didn't have as many 6'9 and above guys who could play on the wings like Jordan could.

Everybody seems to stop at MJ when talking about past dominate players who could still do so today. Don't forget about Dr J. He could play on any NBA team today, and dominate as he did back when.

The real question is whether or not Calipari can still dominate in today's game as he did in...name a year. We're at a crossroads and the staff needs to evolve a bit, or else this era will begin to derail. I don't think this staff would stick around long when it becomes obvious they are past their prime, either.

Speaking of transfers, Matthews and Humphries would be great for this team..

It appears he's landed at Washington.

                    Good pick-up by Washington.

Pac 12 isn't as physical and the competition is generally weaker. This season the Pac 12 is almost spectacularly weak. Better game all-around for Quade.

And for my understanding he's linked back up with one of the assistant coaches that tried to recruit him when he was in HS. I agree with you Will Pac 12 good for him, but I actually believe Seton Hall would be a good fit too. Powell would be a senior, taking him under his wing by time he becomes eligible learn the ropes and then he potentially could be starting guard when Powell leaves...and school close to home/family/friends come to games.
                        Best of luck to Q.
