Maybe Quade needs to come here and read the comments, maybe it will make his decision easier. I don't blame Quade, i don't understand why Cal would bring in a 5'10 guard who doesn't fit the bill for what he's done at the PG position the past 15 years, maybe Cal had to settle for him because he lost out on everyone else......

Which is possible. It's been obvious to me since Transy that the players don't mix. Sometimes you remove one guy and that does make a difference. I was on a couple of teams like that.
Of course Quade is a problem right now, he chose to come back and now he sits on the bench behind freshman, Richards probably thinking the same thing playing behind Reid.....

Cal missed on Trae Young and Quade was the best point guard available.

It was clear very quickly though that he wasn't a point guard. I thought he could be one of those bulldog combo guards you see from time to time, and he actually may still be that guy down the road. I wish he would stick it out and bide his time but one of the problems with Kentucky basketball right now is that very few are willing to grind.

You are exactly right, what happened to the grind? Again you have to earn your way to the NBA, choosing Kentucky doesn't make it automatic, not sure if that's Cal's fault or a generational mentality with these kids now?

            It appears he's gone.

Forget about what i said a few times about Green earlier. In all reality, i actually hope that Green stays and it would not bother me to see him start with Herro, we need shooters and maybe Quade needs minutes to get his confidence up. Green has gone from 25 mpg to 16 mpg this year and let's be honest, Quickley and Hagans haven't set the world on fire, why not let the veteran take the job and let it be his to lose??

I think it's a testament that Cal sells the NBA and if you aren't on a path to go quickly it can bog you down.

Agreed. If you come to Kentucky and don't go pro after a year, it's almost as if you are a failure even though we have seen many great Kentucky players over the years stay 3 or 4 years and still play in the NBA....

How did Quade go from not that good to a starter in a span of nine posts?

Plus, the huge volume of departures from UK basketball the last few seasons is getting a bit out of control.
It's not the last few seasons, it's been his entire tenure. Some of them have been guys that can't hack it but most are guys that we could have used - Wiltjer, Charles Matthews, Lee, etc.

Because it's easy to forget about some of the good things he has done while at Kentucky and get caught up in the moment. Quade may not be great obviously we have seen better but he's still not horrible.. To be honest, it aint the player, it's the damn coach who doesn't have a clue how to coach the talent he has or put them in position to play the best, that's the real problem here in my opinion...

I would say that I'm about ready for the Cal ride to come to a close but not sure who's good enough to take his place.

I think the wheels are falling off and Cal's ego is to big to realize it, he's not going to change nothing and it's clear that if he doesn't land the top 3 or 4 out of the top 10, we are nothing more than a above average basketball team...

And to be perfectly honest, so far this season to me feels like it's been all about PJ Washington proving that he can play in the NBA

Same here, nothing against Cal, it's been a great 10 years but i am ready for a change. All this damn talent over the course of 10 years and 1 Championship to show for, the same as Tubby Smith, think about that for a minute....
