I don't think Cal would let them do that. He's going to have them announce one way or the other.

Nah, they each wrote letters talking about the intentions to test the waters. No reason they would just leave. Wouldn't make any sense.

Wenyen not returning to UK. I'm not going to say he's staying in the draft because he has no chance of being drafted.

Dumb decision on his part. Clearly was worried about playing time.

Not really a dumb decision. He probably knows that he's not going to get drafted, and is looking forward to making a living overseas. And he can.

Not to mention that with Montgomery, Johnson, Washington and Richards, the front line is pretty thick. And that doesn't even include Vanderbilt and/or Reid.

Rumor mill is flying that Reid is more likely than Vanderbilt at this instant.
as for Wenyen if that holds, best of luck young man. You know your aspirations and situation better than we do.

Tall, athletic, runs a hundred to nothing. Good outside shot for a guy 6'9. As far as we've heard a good team mate.
He may not make show time, but I think he shoots better than Briscoe and is more athletic than Hawkins or Willis.
I think he will get a check.

I will be surprised if he's drafted...maybe he pulled the wool over teams eyes with individual work outs-Lol. G league or overseas it is, agent has an easy job. Diallo going to realize at some point bro you are going to have to pay some dues!

Wenyen I'm not mad at, I hope he makes some money overseas.

Washington has a great opportunity to increase his stock for next year draft, lets start with free-throws this summer

What is taking Vanderbilt so long,? He needs to have surgery for whatever needs to be corrected ASAP and start fresh this fall...

Okay. Of course the elephant-in-the-room question is "If we could only have one, do we want Vanderbilt or Travis?

Hey WCN fam- we can never have too much talent, all we have to do is go back to the "platoon" system

I've watched Travis play for three years...Vanderbilt is questionable regarding his health, at this point I hope the young man can play basketball again. No brainer for me- Travis.

I love Vanderbilt's upside. To me he can be a Ben Simmons type. Love how hard he plays and how he attacks the ball, and he's a hellaciously gifted passer.

But I agree with the above post: because of Vanderbilt's health you have to question whether he's going to be able to play a full season.

Reid Travis is interesting because of his age, obviously, and because he's a guy who's known for consistency. PJ Washington can learn from him in practice and hopefully, by the middle of next year, PJ learns how to bring that consistent effort.

I think at this point Cal has worked it so that we can overcome the loss of Gabriel and Vanderbilt if it happens assuming we do land Travis. Think we'll be a top two or three team now in the preseason (with a shot at #1) regardless of what happens tonight and there'll be a ton of excitement for this group. That's a lot of vets for a Cal-coached team.

I agree. A lot of hype about Vanderbilt pre-season, but health and general play this past year were not awe-inspiring. I take Travis over Vanderbilt, hands down. If Vanderbilt returns, our chances of getting Travis over Villanova would appear to almost evaporate.

Vanderbilt will remain in the draft.

One of the more enigmatic players in UK history.
