Knox must really be struggling with his decision. I just saw, on Twitter, that he's flying back home tonight for a final discussion with his parents. His dad says an announcement will be coming sometime in the next 24-36 hours.

I will be absolutely SHOCKED if he stays, but also very very happy.
I expect him to announce he's entering and hiring an agent, however.Comment

My prediction is which way Knox decides the rest will ride his coatttails. If he goes then I expect them all to go,SGA,Washington,Vanderbilt etc....... If he stays most will be back except Diallo who is just itching to go no matter what. I guess we will know by the end of the day what kind of season 18-19 will be. A special one or a normal one with a lot of hard knocks while freshmen learn to play the college game.Kentucky fan since 1971.👍 1Comment

How many of Cal’s recently-predicted lotto picks fell below their expected draft range?
Monk, for sure. Skal. Randle by a few spots? I feel like I’m forgetting someone.
Point being, it’s not uncommon to see these guys fall a bit. Knox is predicted at the end of the lottery and, to me, has the look of a guy who could drop a few spots when the time comes.
Next year ear would be safer, kid.Comment

Kevin Knox is a kid that's talented enough to be a top 5 draft pick but young and unpolished enough to slide into the 20's. Downes raises a good point - an awful lot of these guys that have gone as freshmen have seen their draft spots fall a lot.
I disagree with Kevin Hall though - I don't think Knox has much bearing on the others. Shai is likely gone as he'll never be much higher than he is now, Diallo is likely the same. If Vanderbilt is having surgery on his foot, he's almost assured to return, and PJ likely returns too.

And if I'm not mistaken, I think even Fox and Murray slid just a bit. Only by a couple spots and they still went in the top seven, but the fact that they fell at all goes to show that even the best can, and will, drop thanks to the smallest red flags. If you're Knox and you're a fringe lotto guy, a difference of three or four spots is substantial.Last edited by George; 04-06-2018, 09:40 AM.Comment

I kind of assumed Shai postponed so he could get back to Canada. A little more difficult for him to talk it over with family than the others.
Knox is one of those rare players where I think either way makes some sense. You can see some benefit in both decisions. Similar to T. Jones.Comment

Yeah, I have a hard time seeing Shai return. Given Cal's recruiting of Ashton Hagans, you have to think he knows Shai is gone.Comment

True but they're likely in the mock drafts by this time of year. They're less foreign to the scouts than to us.Comment
