The last 8 minutes or so they weren't even looking to shoot the 3. They even passed up some open 3's that they would normally shoot.

First tourney game is NORMALLY where the jitters are.
this was a good team UK beat with a bunch of upperclassmen looking at their last game. As Cal said post game, the young Kentucky kids didn't have it sink in that these other teams are gonna fight to keep the season going. Now they know.

He almost cost them the game with his garbage play tonight. Sorry - I like a lot of the stuff he does and he's been a major piece of this team and many wins but he drives me nuts with his selfishness and constant stopping of the ball. Have one of the most athletic teams around and they never run the court.

Survive and advance. That's what its about now. First half was very good. 2nd half not so much. But I expected that. Young team thinks the game is over at the half. Come out sluggish and it doesn't take long for Davidson to get back in it.. Mainly one guy hitting three's for Davidson. The one from Iceland. He hit six of them. All in the 2nd half. Aldridge I don't think, hit a one. He had some good looks too. UK got a little lucky with him missing.
SGA didn't have a good game overall. But hit the foul shots when it counted. Most of them did in fact. That is always huge in the NCAA's as we all know.
I thought SKJ had another good game. Very aggressive now.

Sure its disappointing about the three point streak ending but it was win that helps salve that wound a lot. Maybe if this game was in November or December I might be upset but this is the NCAA's and if can get a win with out three then I will take it. But they can't do that anymore. IMO you usually need to make 5 or 6 game to give yourself a good chance to win. Tonight it just looked Cal had them driving,driving and driving some more. Davidson wasn't really that good at defending that. UK missed some good chances too or that lead at the half would have been much larger.

Now lets all be the biggest Buffalo fans ever and see if get to play them Saturday evening.

Garbage play?! He had 19-8-7 with 5 steals and 9 of 10 FTs. If that is garbage then I question your basketball knowledge. We only had 10 turnovers. Did it ever occur to you that Davidson is a good team? Geesh!
