And as for the threes, Kentucky did exactly what it should have done: ditch the three altogether.

We had three three-pointers that were in the rhythm of our offense. One Wenyen missed. One Knox got on the wing when they lost him. And one Quade got in the first half.

Otherwise you don't take threes against a team when you have a catastrophic height advantage. It makes no sense.

Now against Buffalo we better hope the three is going in, because that's a shot we're going to get against them with as fast as that game is going to be played. If we're clanking then we'll likely lose.

But last night? We played it exactly the way we should've.

The 3 point streak is one of those things similar to the move ring streak on my Apple Watch - I feel compelled to keep it going, but every time I break a streak, I feel some relief. I'm glad we don't have that stupid thing hanging over our heads anymore. I knew this team would be the one that broke that streak - I just figured it'd come in a pretty ugly loss.

Still, I don't care one bit, and nobody should. This team scored 78 points without hitting a 3 (and won!). If that bugs you, reevaluate your priorities.

Majorly concerned with Saturday now

The 2011 team barely beat Princeton in the first round and went to the Final Four. Not saying this team is going to do the same, but games like this happen.

Pomeroy said on Twitter after the game that a team not hitting a three had happened 19 times this year. Our six attempts was the seventh fewest for anyone on the season.

Someone in his mentions said that in those 19 games, 6 of those teams won.

Crazzed has been majorly concerned after every first round game Kentucky has played for the past 15 years.

Hit some tough jumpers at critical times, too.

Knox hit a couple. Thought the jumper that Shai had from 17 feet was very tough. Quade hit one at a clutch time.

Clearly we weren't even looking for the three. I thought if PJ Washington had kept up his consistency that game would've been a rout. But God love PJ, he just can't play consistently. Has a good run and follows it with nothingness. Plays like crap and then comes alive for a three-minute stretch.

Cannot put up an entire solid game at this point in his career.

Because it wasn't! Who gives a shot about the streak? It's like worrying about the home attendance title every year. It's meaningless.

Reality is this, if we had a team to win it all and the streak was broken, i could live with, sacrifice the streak for a Championship 7 days a week and twice on Sunday. The fact its going to take a miracle to win it all knowing we will lose and the streak will be broken ticks me off, hope this team proves me wrong..
