I don't see many folks being attacked here. Well, crazzed...but crazzed would probably even admit he brings a lot of it on. He gets attacked over on Rivals too. Super-negative guys always have.

That goes back years. There used to be discussions on WCF about what constituted a "true fan." I remember Mel coming on many times and talking about why the site was called Wildcat Faithful.

We've debated negativity and how to police it for years and years, way before Cal got here.

My personal take: we're all negative sometimes, but the posters I sometimes cringe at are the ones who are negative all the time. Like, they don't show up when there's a reason to be positive. They don't even bother coming around if the team wins.

I have a problem with that and have since I started posting on message boards.

This is why I cut crazzed a little slack: because he's negative as hell...but he does show up when the team wins. There are some guys who just don't post when Kentucky wins; they don't like to use message boards that way, and they seem to see nothing beneficial in coming around to talk about wins. But let the team lose and they're right there with their analysis.

Honestly, i didn't even know CRAZZED was back, glad he's back (since May lol). I still disagree with him 99.9% of the time (kidding) but i actually admire his passion for UK basketball, he is who is, CRAZZED just loves his Cats hates to see them lose, i get it...


I guess it's safe to say is that if you do not have thick skin, you probably shouldn't be on a forum posting anyways, people are ruthless now a days.................

What made last night even more frustrating was watching Duke and KU come back from being down double digits to win and then UK blows a 14 point lead in less than 7 and 1/2 minutes.

Duke is still the best team in the nation so it serves to reason than they would be able to come back. Kentucky shouldn't really be discussed in the same breath as Duke; two teams on two totally different planes.

But it does need to be said that Duke and Kansas aren't playing with the injury situation Kentucky has.

I dont get the fascination with comparing us with other teams, especially when weve proven that we are just decent at this point in the season.

Some Kentucky fans have an inferiority complex, and I dont understand why that is.

I agree...I'm not comparing UK to either of them. Was just saying it made it even more frustrating that at one point I thought Duke and KU were going to lose and UK win and it ended up being the opposite.

One problem about the end-of-game situations the last four games* is that we've been in constant foul trouble.

If you're in foul trouble, you have to go to the zone. In every game the last three times, the zone has started to fail. Like fail hard.

That's when the game starts to degrade. This isn't something that's happening to where Kentucky can kind of hold the line; this is an all-systems-failure type of thing. Possession after possession with points.

We have to stop fouling so much. And 90% of those are fouls. Guys just slapping and bumping and grabbing. You can't get to 8:00 to go in a game and have so many of your players sitting on the bench and Cal attempting to play mad scientist over there to patch the holes.

I think it's because we expect to be neck and neck with those teams every season. But at this point in the season, I agree that we aren't on that level right now. Maybe fully healthy we can be, but we're not there right now.

I'm not taking sides, just making an observation. In my opinion, the majority of people tend to become negative when they're unhappy and/or disappointed. I think that's human nature. Some express themselves more strongly than others, but there are many negative comments in this thread and not all are from the same poster.

Well said and accurate. But we all know the couple of posters who hardly ever post until things go bad. It was somewhat different last night because there were positive posts until the bad happened. But you're right, I guess I had a couple of negative things to say.

Ha Ha! Wanted to take some of the grief away from Crazzed. LOL!!! Mission accomplished. Life long UK fan. Will never turn my back on them in any sport. Have had 4 season tickets in football since they were at Stoll field. I'd say that's being loyal. And will probably go to St Louis. I'm spoiled like most of us are.
