I agree, BH. As long as there are no personal attacks and the language is such that you wouldn't mind if your wife, daughter, mother or sister read it, I have no problem with people expressing themselves, even if I don't agree with them. Self-expression is one of the reasons places like WCN exist.

I just read about the "disaster" last night. Just as I said after the Tennessee game this is what you have to expect when you have a team full of freshmen. They are going to make dumb plays and blow games. I expect to see a couple or three more games just like this before the season is done. You just have to expect this and its not going change under Cal. He's going to bring in a new team every year and go through this again and again. The two or three times he has gotten a few to stay that extra year it has been a much better and consistent team. Look at 2012 and 2015 and what they did. The 2011 and 2014 team came together at the very end and you can see what they did. The best we can hope for out of this team is what happened in 11 and 14. I doubt it does because this is a historically young team. Maybe if the majority of this team comes back next year it can be a truly great season. But I"m not counting on the majority coming back because it usually doesn't happen.

Indeed, the majority of people become negative when they're unhappy and/or disappointed.

Crazzed is not the "majority of people." He wallows in misery and pessimism like nobody I've ever come across on a message board. It's fascinating, really.

Its because he loses bets. Its very typical of a gambler as I'm sure you know.

                lol

I'm all for gambling, but I don't understand betting on Kentucky games. Even if I did wager on games, I'd never bet a Kentucky game, mainly because I just want to see us win. No more, no less. I could make money on a thousand different games... Kentucky games are off-limit.

Speaking of losing bets, did you all see where the Vikings took a knee at the end of their game against the Saints instead of kicking the extra point? One more point and they would have covered the spread.

I remember picking the point spread within one or two points all year with the 96 team. They were very consistent. Havent done it since. Gave up a long time ago actually. But that one year I got most games correct within a point or two.

The reason the NFL makes teams kick the extra point in those situations is because of point spreads. I "bet" the Vikings got a reprimand for not going through with it.

Not true...not true at all. I very rarely ever bet on UK basketball. Have bet on UK basketball games maybe 5 times in my life and probably not for the last 3-4 years.

And, I am not a gambler. I bet on a few (less than 10) sporting events a year. Do you ever drink a beer? Does that make you an alcoholic?.....feel free to continue being you though.

No I don't drink. You have said many times on her you bet on games. Your whole persona points to that. Feel free saying things like that and you will be banned once again.

Or one of the reasons why many just don't come here to post much now a days, some just don't want to get attacked by the mob when they disagree with something....

I don't see many folks being attacked here. Well, crazzed...but crazzed would probably even admit he brings a lot of it on. He gets attacked over on Rivals too. Super-negative guys always have.

That goes back years. There used to be discussions on WCF about what constituted a "true fan." I remember Mel coming on many times and talking about why the site was called Wildcat Faithful.

We've debated negativity and how to police it for years and years, way before Cal got here.

My personal take: we're all negative sometimes, but the posters I sometimes cringe at are the ones who are negative all the time. Like, they don't show up when there's a reason to be positive. They don't even bother coming around if the team wins.

I have a problem with that and have since I started posting on message boards.

This is why I cut crazzed a little slack: because he's negative as hell...but he does show up when the team wins. There are some guys who just don't post when Kentucky wins; they don't like to use message boards that way, and they seem to see nothing beneficial in coming around to talk about wins. But let the team lose and they're right there with their analysis.

Man, what the hell happened last night? I turned it on after putting my 5 month old to bed and I see we're down 11-4. We played like garbage most of the first half (with some assistance from the refs) and still managed to squeak out a 3 point halftime lead. We got up by like 15 at one point in the 2nd half when I went to bed and I wake up to see that we lost.
