The Good News: Stoops was DC at FlaState and has successfully prepared for Tech before.

What I remember about that Whalen injury was that it happened right by the cameras on the sideline, and you could hear him screaming something like, "My elbow is gone!"

Pretty grisly. And as another poster said, really unfortunate because he was unstoppable.

The good news is a great point. I hadn't made that connection. But experience against their offense should be a huge help in preparation.

Congrats to the team. They should be proud. Hope Coach Stoops and Company gets the team ready like the UofL game and we have a good showing finishing the year 8-5 would be nice way to leave 2016.

I can imagine a very tired Coaching Staff after watching and breaking down film since they found out who we play. they had our guys prepared for UL and I expect they will doe the same for Ga Tech. Should be an interesting game.

This is a very good bowl. UK has come light years since the beginning of the season. If you had told they would be in the Gator Bowl after that So. Miss game I would have just laughed in your face. No matter how they do in the game this is great for the program and hopefully Stoops can increase things from here.
I know nothing about GaTech other than they run that triple option offense. It can be tough to handle because no one else runs it. But right now I am just happy UK is bowling and I"ll worry about Ga Tech later on, after Christmas.

Per multiple tweets UK has sold its allocation of tickets to the Taxslayer Bowl and have be given some additional tickets. Looking like a big UK crowd in Jacksonville for New Years Eve.
