Imagine the OOC matchups if winning your own conference really mattered. We could see blockbuster matchups in the regular season but instead we will continue to get a steady diet of Power 5 teams vs directional college.

Who wants to bet the B1G doesn't hold up its rep in the bowls - as usual?
Not a bet I would want any part of. I'm hoping for Washington to lose so Michigan gets to play Alabama. Think if that happens we get a rematch of Clemson vs Bama. And maybe Washington whips PSU or Wisconsin whichever might be the case if they meet in the Rose Bowl. Would love seeing the top 3 from the Big 10 beat.

Just to clarify, I think OSU is a fantastic team. The point is so is Penn St. who beat them. 4 teams isnt enough. I think you need at least 8. IT wouldnt be perfect but you could eliminate some of the problems for the truly elite teams.

Now I am seeing a possible match up with Iowa. They are a solid team with wins over Michigan and Nebraska. Also played close in a loss to Wisconsin. They are no joke.

I agree with everything you said. I think another that the committee is considering is the crowd that OSU will draw vs Penn State. Money money money.

Most of the Twitter chatter, I'm seeing, suggests we will be playing either Miami, Ga. Tech, Va. Tech or No. Car. in the TaxSlayer Bowl.

The Iowa match up came from a CBS site.

It's strange to say as they are probably the worst team of the bunch. But I want nothing to do with Ga Tech. I think Paul Johnson is a great coach. And that triple option they run would give UK's defense fits.

That gimmick offense scares me. It also matches up poorly with the strength of the UK defense which is the edges and CBs. I imagine Jones would have 20 tackles.

One thing's for sure, if we play Iowa, we won't be playing in the TaxSlayer Bowl.

Yes they could. What I saw was that the SEC would play either an ACC or Big Ten team. Maybe that was wrong but I doubt it. It was on Matt Sarz's site that I use every week for the viewing guide.

I stand corrected. In fact, our opponent could even be Notre Dame.

Won't be Notre Dame. They didn't win enough games to make the toilet bowl.

They only won 4 games didn't they? I was about to post they could though the APR thing but then I realized they maybe only won 4 games?

There should be a bowl for the two worst teams. Sounds nuts I know but I bet it would get good ratings. Might even help them financially. I would probably look at it just for the heck of it.
