UPDATE: Confirmed Bowl Game - UK to the TaxSlayer Bowl

Indeed. For those who might not realize what the TaxSlayer bowl is, it used to be the Gator Bowl, which historically speaking has always been a solid bowl. This isn't low-tier stuff we're talking about, here. UK can take a major step forward with a win.

Taxslayer Bowl used to be the Gator Bowl, so it's a definite step up from the Music City, Liberty, and Independence. Those extra practices with a very young team can only be a good thing. Stoops grew leaps and bounds as a coach during this season. I'm sure he will have our guys ready to play. I am looking forward to a New Years Eve game, though the 11:00 start time is a killer due to my 3rd shift work schedule.

The Bad News: Triple option offenses are an absolute ******************** to prepare for. It allows teams like Navy & GaTech to recruit 2 and 3 Star recruits..........yet compete with the "Big Boys".
The Good News: Stoops was DC at FlaState and has successfully prepared for Tech before.

Should be a great game! Go CATS!

Whalen got hurt (dislocated elbow) in the Music City bowl the following season. It killed us offensively, he was a total mismatch....(unless he also got hurt in Outback)
