I like that idea, but the only problem with that in a year like this is that the Big 10 could get three teams in the playoff. Because Ohio State and Michigan aren't playing for their conference championship. I would rather go to a six team playoff and just take the six best teams, no automatic berths, no tie ins, just take the top six and have at it.

I don't think winning a conference championship game should be an automatic qualifier. If the championship games go wrong it could get really stupid. Do we want Florida, Va Tech, Colorado, Penn St & Oklahoma St as the first 5? Then add Ohio St & Bama as 1 loss teams with Michigan, Clemson, Washington as 2 loss teams with only 1 getting in? An unlikely scenario I know but it is possible. I want the best 4 or 8 whichever it might be. Let the championship game factor into the decision but not be the final factor.

I think we are headed to the Music City Bowl to face Iowa. I'd rather play Houston than Iowa, but that may be "dumb." More of our fans will likely be able to make it to Nashville.

It's looking like Belk Bowl per multiple tweets and one from the Belk Bowl themselves welcoming UK football. They would play an ACC team in this bowl.

Belk Bowl is on December 29 at 5:30 pm and televised by ESPN.

Other than Clemson, FSU or Va Tech, there is no one in the ACC I would really not want to play. Ga Tech is good, but not out of our league.

Belk Bowl is considered a tier one bowl for the ACC. My guess is that UK will get either Florida State,Va Tech or North Carolina.

Clemson will go to the Playoffs if they win Saturday. The Orange Bowl has next pick and my bet is that they will go with Louisville. Russel Athletic Bowl is next and they may go with VATech or Florida State. I think the Belk Bowl gets next after that. If Clemson loses this weekend then you can bump everyone down a bowl in the ACC.

I know this year's FSU isn't your typical FSU, but...they're still FSU. I want nothing to do with that.

Good things it's not basketball then. With Stoops coming to UK from FSU it would be almost certain. You know since the NCAA doesn't set up matchups like that.

One small thing abut the Belk Bowl is that UK's basketball game with Ole Miss is at 8 pm that night. Football game won't be quite over when the basketball game starts. Looks like both tuners of the DVR will be rolling that night.

If Clemson makes the playoffs would Florida St not go to the orange bowl? Would it be possible to get matched up with Louisville in a bowl game? I would hate either and would much rather see Georgia Tech.

Over the last hour or so I've seen UNC's name mentioned more than any other as UK's potential opponent in the Belk Bowl.

I would think they would take Louisville because of Jackson. He could still be the Heisman winner. Bowl games usually stay away from rematches. I highly doubt they would have a UK/UL rematch. UNC is who I have seen tweeted out there to be UK's opponent. So I think it will be them. That would be a rematch of the 1976 Peach Bowl won by UK 21-0.

Work with me on this. OSU (#2) beats UM (#3) in double OT. Isn't that the precise outcome expected by a #2 playing a #3? WHY SHOULD UM BE MOVED DOWN AT ALL? I submit they should have stayed right where they were..... #3.
And who are the "pretenders" for moving up with Michigan's loss? Wisconsin, Penn State, Colorado? Oh wait, UM beat all three of them!
Truly, the Wolverines deserve to remain in the Top 4.
