A Lot will hinge on our QB play and if Boley gives us a boost as opposed to a bust. Lose Saturday and all bets are off.
You have said a key point to winning or losing Saturday is Cutter Boleys performance. If he plays well I like Kentucky's chances,if average to bad it's a sure loss and the season will blow.

      It's a two part formula.

The defense has to keep them from scoring. The same defense that laid down and let EMU score over twenty points.

First three opponents have scored an average of 23pts per game.

If the defense performs as per the first three games, Stoops/Hamdan/Boley need 25 to 35 points to win this game.

USC Jr has scored an average of 22.35pts per game thus far in 2025.

Vandy held them to 7. (sans Sellers for much of the game)

Mizzou held them to 20. (with Sellers returned from injury)

They scared 24 and 38 respectively on VA Tech and SC State.

Well, I think we see where this game is heading. Only bright spot has been McGowan. Otherwise this has been a grade A cluster Fv€#.

my dream scenario is after UGA boat races us, Mitch fires Stoops and lets Gran take over as interim. And we pull off a couple of upsets because the coordinators aren’t hamstrung by Stoops. But I feel more like I’m going to be waking up in cold sweats instead.

If Eddie Gran is our best hope I'm gonna get drunk. It would be " turd polishing" at its best

We've got the wrong ginger coaching us. We need to take the money we are giving to Mark Stoops and offer it to this guy:

Can't be any worse than what we are getting. I'm down with just about anybody right now. We're 12 years into Stoops tenure and we look like we don't know how to play/coach football a lot of times. I'm just frustrated. I'm one of those fans who'd trade a bit of basketball success if it meant we could dominate in football even for a short spell. And I love the basketball program just as equally.

Has UK ever fired anyone before the end of the season? If so, I don't remember it.

It's going to hurt in the short run, but I think we need to bulldoze it to the ground and start over with a totally new coach, philosophy and schemes on both sides of the ball. Moving deck chairs around while the ship is sinking isn't going to work nor has it ever worked.

Rip the bandaid off and let's get on with it. Stumbling around for a couple more seasons to reduce the buyout only compounds the stupidity of that contract. Maybe Barnhart should fire himself, while he's at it.

I don't either. Can't imagine Barney doing that. 2 big re enue home games coming up, stadium nearly full with lots of opposing fans, he will not rock the boat.

As long as the nasty orange fans don’t sit beside me that did before, I can grit my teeth every time Rocky Top is played.

In my opinion, yesterday's game move it from "if" to "when" do we fire Stoops. However, the when question is complicated by the buy-out terms. I've seem two distinct reading of the contract and they differ significantly. Either way, firing him prior to the end of the season is a lot more expensive than waiting.

Pretty sure MB fired Joker after the 40-0 beat down from Vandy. He was allowed to finish the season however.

Nothing in your post is wrong, but there’s also a cost in waiting just to save a few milllion bucks.
