^^^Punting game was excellent. Kickoffs were fine--just not enough of them. And we missed a 43 yard field goal. Should never have been that long an attempt but we knew he didn't have the longest leg.

Spirit--I felt the O-line was OK. Wilson simply needs his "internal clock" the color commentators (many of which are former QB's) are always talking about to run a bit quicker. I don't know if he had 15 seconds to scan the field in JUCO but it ain't happening at this level. And the holes for the RB's on the few designed run plays were decent.

Totally disappointer in the outcome. I would have hoped by now our play calling had stopped getting cute but I was wrong. The last 6 quarters our offense has stalled BIG TIME. That being said we still could've won this game. Why would you put the ball in Terry's hands there? What had de done yesterday to give our coaches confidence in him? Wow just wow!

The more I think about it the madder I get. Why on earth did the staff want Terry making a play? Smart, hard nosed football is this teams strength. Win or lose, Benny has to be the guy.

And our kicker doesn’t have the leg for a 43 yarder? Oy.

Chance Poore was a good kicker in h.s. I say give him a shot.

I think I would agree. Seems like I had heard coach say forty was right at Butler's limit. Wonder if Poore requested a RS year or just had bad camps?

The punters duel was something to watch though. I KNOW ours is a great punter, but that A&M kid....wow...

If you aren't giving him the ball then he can't get first downs or do anything for that matter. No reason he shouldn't be carrying the ball 25 to 30 times a games.

Don't think Poore requested a R/S. Stoops wants to have him kicking for 4 years and that Butler was good to 40 and a Senior.
Poore can play in 4 games and still get the R/S. I kept wanting him to get in the Murray State game just to get game experience.
He still would have had 3 games in which he could be called on to kick the long fgs. I hate the thought of bringing him in a crucial
game to kick a 50 yarder to win the game (eg Mizz or UGA).

^ I agree Chaz. The FG attempt last night was straight down the middle but short. His range will get better as he grows and gets stronger.

Nobody was getting first downs. I don’t think we ran a play on their side of the field until the 4th quarter.

That's why I said the play in OT should have been a run, but on the whole the running game was not going to work.
