After the game, a reporter asked one of the Tn. players how they managed to beat us so handily, to which he replied, at the end of the day they're still Ky. and we're still Tn. No matter how good we are, and how bad they are, they still expect to beat us. That kind of confidence means a lot.
I remember this - I think it was Lane Kiffin's first and only season.

But I agree, ultimately Kentucky has to find the confidence that it's every bit as good as this Florida team. A few teams have had it and have come pretty darn close, but I wonder how much of an inferiority complex we've had over the year against some of these teams.

That thinking is one thing I believe CS is changing, at least with the players. They believe they can win, and maybe it's time we at least began to see the difference also.

Too many of us have been made to look like fools. Not gonna buy this without proof.

I know it's harsh, but UK football has more than earned the "I'll believe it when I see it" caution from fans. Winning is the only thing that'll change that, and I don't think any fan in that camp is wrong for holding that opinion.

I have heard that plan before. Like DVZ said, UK football fans have earned our right to be skeptical.

We could be up 21 going into the 4th and I am going to be deeply concerned that we are going to lose. 30 years is a long time.

Same. I wasn't convinced we weren't gonna blow it last weekend until about 2 minutes to go.

Not me. We've got a 4 game winning streak against them. If we're going to say the past performance is why we're leery of UK finishing or winning football games, we've got to be willing to look at past performances from a win standpoint and say, keep that streak going.

Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

Right. But now we're on to Florida, and UT, and Georgia. There's no precedence to justify winning expectations when it comes to those teams.

I started getting giddy and feeling smart when TOP was 14-5 or something similar.

I am not going to go the "See it when I believe it" line. I see IT now, and I think it's rather obvious. It's been a slow burn Cat fans, but this is a team that could be special.

I agree with you 100% and I think most fans are starting to outside of Florida. We have the road wins, we have SEC wins, we beat Louisville, outside of So Miss last year we are even winning the games we are supposed to. But, 30 years. I haven't been alive to see us beat them. I was born in 87 so my life has an extra guarantee after death and taxes. When he finally gets that win, which is very possible Saturday, he might just get a 30 year extension and have every fan on board.

It is very hard to just buy in but I am trying. All that matters is the guys wearing the gear between the white lines believe. If they believe and get things done on the field then next year we will be talking about how we keep the streak going for 2 straight against the Gators!! So far this season has been a blast, hope we keep the faith and we see the fruits of BOYS IN BLUE labor.

I don't know what it means to have not bought in. What does it mean?

For years. UK has beaten UFla. It wasn't until visor boy got there that the streak started. And streaks have a beginning and an ending. it ended 3 years ago. Refs are not going to be able to bail them out this time.
