I was going to post something similar. Beat Florida.

Only focusing on who is in front of us on a given week and putting everything into beating them is how we get there.

Players and coaches should take it one game at a time. We're fans.

I think we could take an L to Florida and still have a special season with the way this schedule is set up. But I really hope they can bring it on Saturday. If there was ever a time, it's now.

        Yes!

And, in a sense, that is why I advocate the one game at a time approach. I agree, we can take an "L" this weekend and still have a special season. That is why I am WAY more concerned about Eastern Michigan and Missouri. The same cannot be said of those games. THOSE are the games that scare me.

        Florida? It's just an opportunity.

Again, there is not one game on our schedule that we can't win - not one.

Oh that sounds so good! How long has it been since any of us even dreamed this would be true?

The path to 6 wins starts with the 2 lbs. of gator I bought to fry Saturday lololol.

Theoretically, couldn't any team in the country say the exact same thing?

I appreciate the optimism, but I'm realistic and a student of history. We don't always win games we should win. Once we show that that's changed, I'll sing a different song.

But until then? UF, UT, and UGA are losses, and the rest (outside of EMU and MU) are up in the air.

Florida and Tennessee proved this weekend that neither are very good - and both exhibited some horrible coaching.

This is a ripe year to get both of those wins. I think we get those two and UofL, too. Florida doesn't have much of a passing game and Louisville has zero run game outside of Jackson.
Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

I agree. I understand Stoops' comments about the negativity surrounding the program, but I've seen enough UK football over the years to be suspicious. I'm old enough to remember the year we started out 5-0, beat the #1 team in the country, and ended up 7-5 and lost to UT in overtime.

I've seen enough to prevent myself thinking this time is different, but also I think if Mississippi State can do it, we can.

A big yep to both of those comments. When you have followed UK football for 45 years like I have you never expect a win against anyone. These aren't vintage UF and UT teams but UK has lost to UF and UT teams about like these and worse. So until they actually beat them I will never expect a win against those two. Or even good teams like UGA and MSU has this year.
Mark Story had a good column about UK will never get respect from other SEC teams until they beat UF. I agree with that. Having a 30 year losing streak to anyone is embarrasing and until you can break that you have no respect from your peers in the league.

I agree with that too. UK has had its chances in the past but has never taken the leap.

I saw Kyle Tucker on twitter last weekend make a really good point. Who's the second best coach in the league behind Saban? Dan Mullen? This league at one time had Saban, Les Miles, and Urban Meyer.

The league has fallen back so much in the last couple of seasons to where the balance of power has shifted away from the SEC. There's a real chance for Kentucky to make some noise and cement itself as a real program.

When I read things like this, I'm always reminded of something that happened a few years ago. UT was down and we had one of the better teams we had had in a long time. A lot of the fans were saying this is the year we beat UT. To make a long story short, the Vols laid the wood to us. After the game, a reporter asked one of the Tn. players how they managed to beat us so handily, to which he replied, at the end of the day they're still Ky. and we're still Tn. No matter how good we are, and how bad they are, they still expect to beat us. That kind of confidence means a lot.
