It was a true story cop movie involving drugs. I never walked away from that flick or Sicario thinking it was all about drugs.

And it was actually a good flick, as opposed to the flaming turd that is Scarface. That's why I said they should never be spoken in the same paragraph.

Different strokes. You are likely much younger than ime, so that would explain part of the difference.

What does my age have to do with anything?

Maybe you should've explained what you meant by "drug movie." Forgive me for thinking you meant movies that deal with drugs.

My point went past you. But whatever. Probably didn't make myself clear and it's not worth tying up the thread any longer.

        Back to movies:

Getting ready to watch The Impossible again. On my long list of all time favorites films.

You never made a point, Bob. You tossed a gigantic blanket statement over the entire conversation. Don't sling insults when you fail to explain yourself and are then bothered by follow-up questions.

I didn't insult you. And if you actually read the next sentence you would have seen where I admitted not making myself clear.

Arguing about stupid movies and my feelings on the drug culture is not worth it to me, but feel free to continue. I'm out.

It's actually a pretty interesting discussion. Just wanted to hear what you meant in a bit more detail.

I liked The Impossible a lot. Not sure I loved it. The most amazing thing about it was how they put it together. I remember being in awe of the technical wizardry more than the story. I'm sure heavy CGI was in play but some of the set pieces were jaw-dropping.

Didn't really care much about the characters in "The Impossible," but there's no doubt that it was a technical marvel.

Saying your point went past him is insulting. How about, your point came up short?

I'd love to hear more from you on this.

I think Zootopia is the best animated film of the year and one of my top three movies of the year, along with Kubo & the Two Strings.

What am I missing on "Zootopia"?

Didn't think it touched "Finding Dory." Still haven't seen "Kubo."

I'm not sure, but Finding Dory was pretty average for me when I saw it at the theater. I was so upset because I had such high expectations, but it's grown on me quite a bit since bringing it home to watch, but it's nowhere near as great as Zootopia was and is. A couple of scenes really, really bothered me about Dory; one of which was the scene with Hank driving the truck. That whole segment felt like something out of Dreamworks, so beneath the quality of Pixar. I just couldn't get on board with it. The characters are so memorable, though. Such a strong area for Pixar.

Kubo is fantastic, and absolutely worth watching ASAP. For what it is, it's almost a masterpiece. But for me and my tastes, Zootopia takes the crown. I did purchase the Laika 4-pack and have yet to see Coraline, Paranorman, or Box Trolls, but I'm excited to whenever I have the free time.

As far as other Disney stuff, I'd put Moana ahead of Dory as well. It was very well done.

WDAS is on a tear, and Disney as a whole as been on an absolute roll lately. Jungle Book, Pete's Dragon, BFG, all very good. They just aren't putting out bad stuff. I'm very excited about Beauty and the Beast for next year.

You're watching too many cartoons and superhero movies, Wonderstruck.

Let me suggest Bad Lieutenant 2: Port of Call New Orleans. And then as a palate cleanser Happiness.

                                That was a gonzo movie.
