He just said that it would be before the Draft, doesn't mean it will be close to the Draft.

Going back to Bamba and assuming he does drag this out another few weeks...

...it's strange, and it may not mean anything, that Jarrett Allen played it exactly the same way last year. IIRC he was the last one to commit.

I hope that it's not some sort of a strategy the Texas people are pushing.

I highly doubt it. The talent margin between some of the starters and backups will be much more significant than it was when we ran the platoon system. Doesn't appear possible that it could work the same way.

Plus, I just don't think Cal wants to run that again.

That's exactly why they would, if they think he's leaning Kentucky.

I believe Knox coming here was the deciding factor for Bamba to choose Kentucky. May be wrong but I think he will be in UK blue.

A few years ago, I got tired of being held hostage by 17 and 18 year olds. I no longer hang on every snippet of info and try to figure out where this player or that player is going. I just wait until it's official.

It helps too if you don't think of what these players are doing as holding anyone hostage.

If you see it as hostage-taking, you'll get pissed off. I see it as maybe the biggest decision of their lives.

However long they go as long as it's before the fall term starts is fine with me. As long as there's a chance they could still pick Kentucky then I'm interested in what happens.

The only time I've changed my daily routine for a player and stopped what I was doing was probably Jaylen Brown.

I have to say Knox was the first kid that I was not paying attention to at the time he was going to announce because like I had posted before I thought our chances were 20% at best. So it was a pleasant surprise when I got the ESPN alert on my phone, pretty much had to do a double take.

The Terrence Jones saga was a good one, and I really thought Murray was heading to Oregon.

And the whole situation where Cals Memphis recruits came to Kentucky was great, I don't really remember much drama with Cousins, I guess he just switched as soon as Cal came to UK and there wasn't much drama there.

Yeah, Cousins committed to UK almost immediately after Cal took the job. Then Eric Bledsoe committed and say, "We 'bout to get **** right!" That's when I knew this whole thing was going to be fun.

For a second there, it even looked like Xavier Henry was coming to Kentucky, too. Might've been your shooter that put the team over the top.
