    True.

I think by "come along slowly" I basically mean "They won't have to play more than 8 or 10 minutes" unless they show that they're better than the guys in front of them.

With no Murray, one of them--or both--would've maybe had to play a lot. Especially if Matthews and Mulder weren't ready. But now I think we've got a starting 3 and that kind of settles everybody else into a role...

...again, unless Willis and Hawkins show up in October and are just far better than they were last season.

Willis is probably in a better spot in than Hawkins. We're going to need some scoring and there are going to be minutes at the 4. I don't think his situation changed that radically. Hawkins will really need to prove something when practice starts because of all the guards we have.

    Better than an entire season.

Obepka fits the Calipari mold but was a problem child at St. John's. And that's putting it nicely.

Was thrown off. Then allowed to come back. Then got into trouble again and left the team. It's pretty hard to totally ruin two chances but he managed to do it. Would be a big risk.

Tai Wynyard will be joining the team in December. I don't know how much he'll play but his physicality could be big at least in practice. Otherwise Cal is going to have to really hope Poythress is ready to play and Marcus Lee is a lot stronger than he was when we saw him last. And of course that Skal is eligible. Frontcourt depth is clearly the team's one true lack.

An hour after revealing his decision, Murray said that his parents and brother were the only people who knew what he would announce. He hadn't even had a chance to call Calipari.

"It was just a commitment to keeping a secret," Murray said.

"I'm just looking forward to getting the job done and win a championship. That's what I'm there for."

On UK's loaded backcourt: "Whatever he needs me to do to get the job done, I'm willing to do that," Murray said. "I trust him with how he's going to play us, and we're going to have a lot of fun with this."

I don't crazzed is the problem. Bigger problem is the Louisville fans jumping off the second street bridge right about now....

I don't know if this was bigger than Wall, Davis maybe Cousins but being our roster lost 7 guys, this is HUGE and RIGHT ON TIME to say the least.........

Wow, what a surprise. I had already prepared my "at least we where in the running" speech for Murray. Three guard offense with Poythrees and Skal in the paint with Lee off the bench. We may not have the beef in the paint but that might not be a bad thing. Kinda of forces us to play small ball which isn't all that bad in my opinion.
