I don't think it's so much about improving your draft stock anymore. These guys know (in their own minds) that they're going to get drafted. We had 7 pros and didn't win a title. It's not going to be guaranteed here, so why not go to a place where they will be the guy? There will always be less pressure elsewhere. Less scrutiny.

I'm sure they're being sold on the thought that this has all been some shtick on Cal's part.

I'm not gonna lie. If we win a title, I'm thinking this doesn't happen. I'm squarely attributing this class to being weird to us not winning a title.

Are we sure Brown's intention wasn't just to play in the state of California in general? He might travel around to playgrounds, churches and YMCAs for pick-up games, for all we know.

Same here. Losing the title with as many pros as we had really hurt us in my opinion.

Do you think the player is sitting around saying, "Man, I want to win a title and Calipari couldn't get it done, so I'm going to go to UNLV, Cal, and Mississippi State, with their history of college basketball dominance, because I know I can get a title there."

Not winning the title doesn't make any sense when you look at how this class has gone and you look at how Cal's tenure has gone.

Every time we've had a mass exodus, beginning with Terrence Jones and the infamous flip, Cal has had trouble assembling a class in the normal Cal fashion.

Totally agree. This bunch this year just wants to play and have no concern at all about winning. I'm afraid we are seeing a trickle down effect of a selfish society. Not all of course are like that but more and more are becoming that way. Wouldn't it be a hoot if UK won it all next year after all this belly aching about this class.
