Brown is not a YouTube sensation he is definitely the real deal. As for Stanley Johnson, it was the leading scorer (Ibelieve)on a number two seed and top 10 team all year. How is that not having an impact?

Although I've seen some say they believe he'll have the same kind of impact at the college level that Stanley Johnson did, which wasn't all that. Not that I wouldn't want a player like him on our team mind you, but you just never know if what we see in the youtube videos is going to translate into what we'll see when they play in college. ( See the Harrison twins).

I think that is the gamble with every potential One and Done, they don't always pan out, but this kid sure seems like the real deal.

I'm just reiterating what I read. I do remember though that there were times when Johnson disappeared during games and also had some where he didn't exactly fill up the stat sheet. I guess it's irrelevant talking about Brown at this point because most think he's Michigan bound anyway.

It would be nice. Last week when Newman hadn't decided yet I had said I would prefer Brown and Diallo instead of Newman and Diallo. IF he committed to Kentucky we'd all probably be absolutely ecstatic considering how many recruits we've lost out on, and him being one of the best ones left.

Watch him land Brown and Murray at the last minute. That would be the most Cal thing ever.

Plus, the Kirk kid from NC State cancelled his UK visit for this weekend and signed with them. Is that a sign, no pun intended?

Brown officially cuts KU. Some rumors he may announce tomorrow.

Also, Kenny Williams cancelled his visit to Michigan. They only have one scholly available so this isn't good news as most thought Williams was headed to Michigan.

Unfortunately, like Kennard, Newman, Zimmerman, Ingram, and Diallo, Cal/UK are going to finish in second place with Brown.

Absolutely stunning that he is going to miss on all those guys. I would have bet every penny I own a month ago that this wouldn't have happened.

It still blows my mind that we didn't lock down Luke Kennard. I normally try to refrain from this, but I blame Cal fully on that one. Kennard all but begged to go to Kentucky. Cal could've had that one if he'd acted accordingly.

I believe Cal and the staff put in quite a bit of work on Kennard? The offer was certainly there, so Kennard definitely wasn't begging.

But if there's a player who seems more perfectly suited to Duke than that guy, I don't know who he is.

A Google search tells me that Kennard picked up a Kentucky offer in July 2013.

You can't have a scholarship offer and beg.

The kid visited something like six or seven times. You can't make me believe that there wasn't some kind of communication breakdown between Cal and Kennard. Some sort of slight. Something.
