My other brothers and his sons hunt, so I doubt he has a lease. I'll ask, but you let me know.

There’s been a huge resurgence of regional pride in the last few years. I’ve seen the writer Silas House talk about how it’s okay to keep your accent, and I think you see a lot of ‘606 by gawd’ and the accompanying accent now. I think it’s awesome because the region and the people from it get dumped on way too much.

I've met Silas House a few times. I have always felt like his accent is a little bit rehearsed.

He's from Corbin. That's 30 minutes from where I'm from. I have never, not once in my life, heard an accent like House's.

I have always assumed it's a bit of an affectation.

Silas is 100% genuine, and his accent isn't the least bit rehearsed. He's been a very good friend of mine for 15 years or so, and I can say with full confidence that he's as authentic as they come. He's from Lily, technically. Grew up in a trailer back in there.

I was just getting ready to say I've lived in Corbin for the past 70 years and I've never heard of him. If he's from Lily that explains it.

According to KSR he told Calipari Last weekend.

Got it. I've only met him three or four times but I was part of a dinner or lunch or something with him probably around 2010.

It's an unusual accent to my ear. I assumed it was part of a shtick. He wouldn't be the first creative to do that.

Jeff told the story about visiting Lexington to surprise Cal with the news. The staff definitely knew.

His folks sound just like him. I know what you mean — some people definitely play up accents and such for effect — but there’s nothing put on about Silas.

Can someone knowledgeable about NIL tell me when a athlete is eligible to start receiving compensation?
                              Thanks

I don’t think there’s a limit. You can utilize this rule at any age.
