I believe the deadline is actually tomorrow.

I would assume we will hear something today however.

Assuming we don't get Kerry Blackshear, even with Richards and Montgomery we're going to be pretty raw inside. Cal's recruiting has fallen off and it's hard to get excited about next season.

Just a stopover before he goes to the NBA.

This would be devastating for Kentucky. But I'm not sure Kentucky is going to be much anyway unless Montgomery came back and totally changed himself.

Without him and assuming we don't get anybody else, UK might be an NIT team.

I don't really factor in Nick Richards much when thinking about next year's team, and honestly the only way Montgomery helps us consistently is if he puts in a ton of work this offseason.

So I'm going to say if we don't get Blackshear, and it's looking pretty bleak right now, Kentucky is probably a middle of the pack SEC team next year. We have the potential to be a donut like we were in the Ulis/Murray year.

Cal's vacation timing was odd, though I'm not sure if it would've mattered. Seems like we were in good shape before he left the country.

McDaniels is a bit of a project IMO but has tremendous potential. Not a huge loss on the surface...but that's assuming that Montgomery comes back. That said, I would've loved to have had him simply because you don't know what kind of player those types can be when they get college coaching.

Haven't heard a word about Blackshear in more than a week.

Saw on KSR that Juwan Howard is a cousin to Jaden McDaniels. Michigan just hired Howard as head coach....

how do we go from being the premier program for big men to not being able to get more than one of our true targets from tier 1 or even 2 over the last two years?

EJ Montgomery is the only win on that front. If Richards stays, he is one of eight guys from his class still in the program.

    Craziness abounds !

Never had a good feeling about him coming here. My question is why is Memphis still on the list with the amount of guards they have?
