Is this just your gut JF, or do you know something everyone else doesnt?

Georgia getting the buzz now....how does a top recruit like that pick Georgia over the likes of UK and UNC? Guess he's that type of bird that wants to be "the man", which he definitely will be at Georgia.

I don’t know something for sure but I was told UK people are not confident he will choose them.

I guess something could change but UK staff thought him announcing later would be better for their chances because the early departures would be much clearer.

Not sure I'd call him a lock. I have seen a few people saying Florida St., but to be honest I heard just as many people say he was going to North Carolina. So this appears to be a recruitment that's kind of up in the air.

Anthony Edwards has cancelled his visit to North Carolina. Still wants to visit Florida St. Sort of interesting and I hope it speaks to his interest in UK.

I think Edwards can be a Zion type*. Otherworldly athlete.

* One of the things that has made Zion great, other than he plays the game very hard and he's a freakazoid, is that he's a really good basketball player. I think that's what people missed when he was coming out of high school: they knew he was the best athlete on the court but they didn't realize that he can really play the game. He's smart, he's unselfish, he's willing to mix it up--so many of these five-stars aren't fully rounded players, they're just athletes. Edwards has a long way to go before he's in that category but he does have a little of Zion's wild, almost cartoonish burst.

This is the guy Cal needs to land, hasn't landed a player like this in awhile, pretty interesting his lack of blue bloods on his list though. You rarely see a kid with this talent not having all the top schools on his list.

Fairly big news: N'Faly Dante, who Kentucky has reached out to and is absolutely interested in, has opted to stay in the 2020 class rather than reclassify.

Not questioning your judgement at all Ratt. But even if he rides the pine behind Richards...we're going to need bodies. And the pickins are gettin slim.

Heck - I could be totally wrong - maybe he will be the next KD like they are touting. I'm sort of liking the Matthew Hurt kid. Think he's got some good potential and probably a 2 year play er. Although - he looks to me more like someone that would go to Duke or UNC. I also like this Trendon Watford kid but haven't really watched him a ton. Looks solid. Of course, there is a lot of other things that go into it all.

I'm not overly sold on this kid... YouTube highlights always look good but when you watch games, well sometimes it looks a lot different. I posted something about McDaniels in the last GB&U segment... I've been watching this kid a lot and I don't want anything to do with him at UK. Sure, he's growing, is very long, and has some decent skills. He's pretty decent with the ball on the floor. But - he's so frail and thin, lazy reactions, and can't play defense well. And you hit it on the head, he doesn't play hard, he just floats around the floor. I think the other kid on that team (#13 - forgot his name) is as good as McDaniel. A lot of this McDaniel love in my opinion is mostly based on projection and his length.

I think he's another guy that is hyped but will struggle at the next level. Could you imagine him trying to guard SEC big men? Not interested at all... A lot of the videos I see of his HS games, he's playing against much weaker competition which is always hard to tell.

Just watched McDaniels. You can see the potential but he doesn't play with a high motor (at least he didn't in the game this morning) and he just sort of floats around at times. You have to love his length and skillset but whoever gets him is probably going to have to teach him to play hard.

The ESPN guys are mostly predicting McDaniels to Washington.

If true then Kentucky will almost have to land Hurt and keep a couple of the frontcourt players on this team. Has the potential to get really dicey inside for UK next season.

Kentucky will host seven footer Hunter Dickinson out of DeMatha on Saturday for the Kansas game.

Interesting player that I actually watched earlier this evening. Not a superstar but has some guard skill in a huge body.
