"Maybe" we trust in Cal!

K is kicking Cal's butt on and off the court.

And if Cal doesn't adjust, it will only get worse, imo.

Maybe adapt your style to the players' abilities instead of forcing them into positions that don't fit.
Maybe stop raving like a wild lunatic on the sidelines on every possession and actually let them play.
Maybe hire better assistants that can teach offense or defense. (See Belein)
Maybe change the recruiting approach that KY is not for everyone to something more positive.
Maybe quit worrying so much about changing generational poverty and just adjust to the current changes happening so we can have the best COLLEGE program again.

Or maybe none of those and just carry on.

The good news: Matthew Hurt seemed to have a good visit, and UK has a real shot with him. They brought him out after the game the other day and the Rupp crowd gave him a big hand. He seemed a little surprised. And of course he Instagrammed a picture of himself in a UK jersey.

But it'll probably be awhile before we know about him.

Everybody should be thrilled with that. I think Hurt might be one of the best in the class.

Problem is, Hurt's an enigma. You have no idea what he's going to do.

And also: we need more than those two. So even if Cal pulls off a stunner and brings those two in he's got some work to do behind them, because I'm going to assume we'll lose the entire front line (maybe not Richards).

I think you'll almost certainly see an Isaac Humphries type brought in. Also may be a reclass out there...

Huntington Prep junior Jaemyn Brakefield has hinted at a reclassify to 2019. Kentucky is heavily involved.

Cal clearly has to change something. I don’t know if he has lost his drive or is uncomfortable with how recruiting has changed or what, but something is off.

The question id whether Cal can adapt. Given that three point shooting offenses have turned college basketball on its head and evened things out, I tend to think this is fixable.

I'm afraid this is the beginning of the end. Let's hope the current team can improve and have a pretty decent season.

Vernon Carey (as expected, despite what experts on here said) eliminates UK from consideration.

i said nothing of the sort. I simply said you were twisting the words around to say something they didn't. Which was totally true.

Players have figured out they don't need Cal or UK to get to the NBA. Cal "develops" very few players. You come out of high school talented or you arent. However, I hope Cal is still happy that lives are being changed. I mean was it ever about winning a title at UK? Not according to him, so in reality if he was always being honest why would it matter their path to the NBA. Its all about the kids. We can "not win titles" with 3 star players just as well.
