I loved Quickley when I saw him last summer--the summer of 2016 this would have been--playing for the national team. To me he looked in the mode of a Wall or Fox.

And a better shooter than both it seems. Not quite as physically gifted as Fox or Wall, but not too far off. Kind of like a taller Ulis to me.

Really happy to get Quickley but I'm not sure signing a guy who everyone thought was a lock for UK is "brace yourselves" type news. Maybe there is something else coming as well???

Zion had to cancel his visit due to family issue coming up. Will reschedule. Quickley is, and has been, recruiting him hard.

I wonder if this scandal does anything to affect our recruitment of Zion Williamson. Read a bunch about how Adidas was wanting to steer him to Kansas.

It's interesting how Cal is playing 2019 and how different he's going about it than 2018.

2018 has been about three or four players. He's already in with twice that many in '19, and he's been hitting it hard for the past two or three weeks.

Very strange. Not sure if that means he feels anxious about '18 or if he feels good about the four guys he's been after for '18 or if it means nothing at all.

I'd expect a lot if decommits from involved schools. BUT each one of them better be real sure their recruitment was clean as a whistle to think another school will take them. They may all have to go to Duke.

Point is if anything exchanged hands other than a scholarship it's probably going to come out. And we're talking about high level players who went with schools who are in this scandal.

So if you're a recruit known to be caught up in thus scandal and therefore inelligble you've got no school. Europe and Asia may have a bunch of talented 18 y/o stars heading their way for 1 year while waiting for their draft.

The timing of the Duke visit and the cancellation does suck, but I wouldn't freak about this, yet. If I'm not mistaken, his only remaining visits were Michigan and...wait for it...Arizona. He cut AZ for obvious reasons, and if everyone's being honest, Michigan was probably never a player to begin with. Probably just saving himself some hassle, there.
