After listening to her dad it occurred to me that UK's PT school schedule WILL NOT work with a student athlete's schedule. The accommodations would be crazy. It's also much more expensive.

That may not have had anything to do with the decision by could have been.

The commentary against the decision isn’t so much presumptions about the inner workings of a program or how it should be run, rather it’s reaction to what we do know : a rising senior didn’t have her scholarship renewed and wasn’t expecting to no longer be part of the program.

I don’t like it and I also understand it’s Coach Brooks decision. Still stinks though.

Is Gabby Brooks still a scholarship athlete on the team?

This is strictly an opinion, but I'd be willing to bet if she had a choice Cassidy would have delayed entering PT school until after the conclusion of her Sr. year of bb.

A tough article, but a lot of truth to it.

A coach is always going to have a couple of players who contribute little to the wins. If those players have the potential to develop into major contributors, then it's cool. But if not all they are, are practice players on scholarship. In other words, there would be room for her on most rosters.
