People act like we've never seen a basketball player put up the numbers LeBron does. Bird did. We just have never seen someone as athletic and naturally gifted as LeBron. He's a freak of nature athletically. But, he won't ever make my top five. Jordan, Bird, Magic, and Kareem will, IMO, forever be the top four guys ever. Then you can go Wilt, Oscar, Russell, Duncan, Kobe, and probably LeBron to round out the top ten, in no particular order.

I'll still take Jordan 1st. He's a winner pure and simple. If he hadn't quit for baseball the Bulls may have won 8 in a row. Maybe more if their stupid owner hadn't have broke them up when he did. I'll also still take Magic and Bird before LeBron too. Two great players who would have won more championships if they had not played in the same era. Maybe by the end of Lebron's career I will think differently but for now he would be 4th, at best, on my list.John 3:3

LeBron is the best player I've ever seen play the game.
When you talk about greatness you're really parsing players into the tiniest slivers of what we can measure. It's like talking about beautiful women: at a certain point does it really matter?
But nobody I've ever seen play the game can do what LeBron can do. And I watched Jordan religiously as a kid, as everybody did in my generation.Comment

Today's NBA is incredible. The league has recovered (and then some) from whatever down period you're referring to. It's the most fluid, consistent, and competitive show of athleticism you're going to find. Those guys go out and do something incredible every single night.
If you arent watching, you're missing out.Comment

May as well make this the ex Wildcat/NBA thread.
In other news, Celtics are discussing Wcs for Terry Rozier/James Young swap. I'll take that deal, C's need a rim protector but the Wildcat in me hopes that Young stays put in Boston and someone else is dealt for Stein. In all reality, Young is actually having a good season and starting to shoot the ball with consistency......Comment

Knicks D League affiliate. I would have thought that D. Lamb would have stayed in the league on a regular by now. Good size, can play a few positions, not the most athletic but can still shoot the ball in a league that is created for shot makers now a days......Comment
