He did spend four months in prison. He was granted clemency by the Governor of Virginia and his conviction was overturned because of insufficient evidence. There is a good 30 for 30 about him and this incident. I don't remember what it was called now. He was at the bowling alley when this brawl erupted and was said to have hit someone over the head with a chair. But no real witnesses came forward to substantiate the charge, The 30 for the 30 show sort of left it draw your own conclusion about how it all was handled. IMO Iverson was very lucky to have a friend in that governor at the time.

    Kentucky fan since 1971.

Unreal to be honest, this is why Iverson turned his back on the world and lost faith in people in general.....
That's right. I'd forgotten the details.

I have a good friend who's from Philly and is, of course, a big Philly sports guy. Loves Iverson. Talks about him all the time. He says that particular DA had it out for Iverson in a big way. Wanted to make an example of him or something.

UK saw the best of Selden when they played. But didn't do that often enough. If he had Kansas would have won the NCAA pretty easily this year.

Just read a article on Ben Simmons this morning that basically says his decision to attend LSU may cost him close to 40 million in shoe deal money. If your one and done and really just want to get the most out of one year in school, attend Kentucky or Duke, plain and simple...............

In the no surprise category Brandon Ingram of Duke threw his hat into the ring.

Someone who is coming back is Grayson Allen. Duke will be a prohibitive favorite now to win the 2017 championship.

Yup. Duke is the team to beat. I see a lot of people with Louisville high in the rankings next year. They will be solid, but who are their guards going to be? I don't know if I agree with them being top 5.

I don't get that one, either. Not hating, just don't see it.
