One sports writer said as many as 1,000 players could declare but the NBA teams would not invite that many.

Wow.... not surprised. What I am surprised about is he is a smart kid got good grades in HS at Montverde, followed his junior and senior year playing at that school, I don't know what happened. He should of just done a "Mudiay" and went overseas for a year.Comment

He'd have been richer, for sure.Philippians 4:11-4:13Comment

Zimmerman is definitely in all the way. He sent a letter stating this morning that he would forego his college eligibility.
That guy...that guy made a monumental error going to UNLV. He isn't projected in the first round (could change), and if he would've come to Kentucky he would've been showcased from day one.
It may turn out that he gets drafted and makes a team anyway, but things could've been a lot easier for him if he would've chosen UK. Just not a really good decision all the way around.👍 1Comment

He was somewhere between Skal and Simmons.
Averaged 11 and 9 on a pretty bad team. Very good rebounded. On the whole just a more advanced player than Skal at this stage in their careers and I think would have gotten Skal's minutes and been a really nice addition on our front line.
Highly doubt he would've been up in the air in terms of being a first rounder had he come to Kentucky. Beating out Skal--which he would've done IMO--would have really helped turn heads.
As it is he's going to have to fight to get into the first round and Skal basically has no worries at all except whether he wants the lottery or come back and play on a great college team.
This is why you shouldn't go to UNLV over Kentucky if your dream, as Zimmerman said in his goodbye letter to UNLV fans, is to play in the NBA.Comment

Better do your homework on Allen Iverson, this kid was put in prison for something he absolutely had nothing to do with. I can see why this young man isolated himself from the main stream....Comment

Was he actually imprisoned? I know he was exonerated of the charge in question, but I didn't think he actually went to prison. Could be wrong though.Comment

Yes, i watched the documentary on Iverson and he was convicted as a minor simply because he was at a bowling alley when a riot broke out. The community and his high school basketball coach was in shock over the DA's decision to prosecute him for something he had no involvment with.
Unreal to be honest, this is why Iverson turned his back on the world and lost faith in people in general.....Comment
