I think Cal's era gets diluted a little because of the OAD thing.
I talk to a lot of fans who tell me that they just don't get into the games that much anymore because of OAD's and the roster turnover. They're much more apt to say things like "Yeah, Cal should have won those games with all that talent" than to look at the record and be impressed with it.
Personally, I just want to win. One-and-dones, seniors, whatever. Give me a team that can win basketball games.
But some fans (and a lot of outsiders) don't see it that way. They don't think of Cal as a magician on the sideline but rather a sort of glorified salesman.
